I have a fairly old house, built back in the 70's. The shower/bathtub is original to the house. It looks like when the tub was new, it had these little 1" dots all over it that were abrasive enough to help prevent slipping when you were in the shower, standing in soapy water. In 50 years, these original dots have virtually disappeared and are completely useless. These 4" square stickers from 10XForce have proven to be an effective and inexpensive restoration to safe showers. They're easy to install, and over the past week since I've installed them have made showering feel much more secure, despite me actually TRYING to slide around a bit.The stickers are a bit rigid, but the included plastic scraper will easily form them to your shower floor, which is basically flat anyway. The bottom surface of each sticker is a 3M-branded adhesive, with a protective paper that can be challenging to remove without fingernails. Slightly flexing the corner of the sticker will help. The top surface feels like 80 grit sandpaper, and the scraper will take some damage during the application process. I saw one review where someone used a brayer roller to press down the stickers, which probably will do as good a job as the scraper, with less destruction, but the scraper is cheap and disposable anyway. I used the scraper, and it did a fine job, but check out the photo of the scraper's "blade" edge after installing 10 stickers. To apply the stickers, I'd suggest first cleaning and completely drying your tub, then placing the unpeeled stickers upside down so you can easily see them, along the floor of your tub so you can work out the spacing that will give you the most effective coverage. Just place them an inch or so apart, with a channel between them to help with water drainage. Once you've worked out a layout with good coverage, start peeling the backing paper off each sticker, and placing it sticky-side-down in your tub, focusing on alignment as you care to. It doesn't really matter that much, as you'll probably never really see them once they're installed. Use the plastic scraper, starting in the middle of each sticker, pushing to the edges, to remove any air bubbles that might have found their way under the sticker during placement. Yes, the abrasive top of the stickers will remove some plastic from the scraper, and will temporarily leave little bits behind on the sticker.Once applied, the translucent stickers basically disappear, especially after washing away the debris from the scraper grindings. As for value, falling in the shower hurts, and for the older folks, can cause devastating injuries. $12 and 15 minutes to drastically reduce the chance of that happening is a no-brainer. Just do it.

I’ve been looking for non-slip adhesive stickers to apply to the wheel wells of my boat trailer. I have slipped off the slick wheel wells more than once when getting into and out of my trailered boat. I ordered these 10XForce stickers with a bit of trepidation. NOWHERE in the ad text, ad photos, or product description is there mention of the width dimensions. They do mention the thickness (.012”), but I had to make an educated guess as to width based upon the photos in the ad. When the stickers arrived, I was relieved to find that they are approximately 4” x 4”. The diamond grit feels “grippy” to my bare flesh without feeling like 80 grit sandpaper. Instead of using the included plastic paddle, I opted to use a rubber roller to get tight, bubble free adhesion. I was pleased to see that the stickers use 3M adhesive, but I had to use my fingernail to get the backing separated from the sticker. A score at the edge would have helped. The translucent nature of the pads makes them almost invisible which would be super important if you were putting them in your shower or tub and you didn’t want to hide the pattern of your tiles or finish. You can barely see them on my trailer wells which is neither here nor there for me. I had a pleasant experience when I realized that one of the stickers would cover a dent on one of my wheel wells (pictured). I used the roller to press the sticker down into the dent and it conformed to the shape without any folds in the sticker…out-freaking-standing! So far, these seem to have the non-slip quality I was looking for, both for bare skin and when wearing flip-flops. These could have easily been five stars but for the lack of proper product description. Someone in marketing needs to make that fix asap. Otherwise, this is a fantastic product at a very reasonable price point ($12).

These non-slip stickers are great! They are generously sized (just under 4" X 4") with rounded corners, and the package contains 10 of them. They are very slim and light-weight, just as promised. The diamond-like grit is very finely textured and definitely feels very non-slip. I'm sure they would be great in the tub or shower. But I actually ordered them with another purpose in mind.I'm using these on the outside of our dog's ceramic food and water bowls. One of our pups needs a wide, shallow bowl and I haven't been able to find a traditional dog bowl that will work for him (they are all too deep or the sides are straight). So, I've been using those large ceramic pasta bowls that have become so popular. These are so easy for our dogs to eat from (and they look great, too). But, they are aren't as heavy as a typical dog bowl and they are so slick and slippery when wet that I'm always afraid they will slip right out of my hands when filling or washing them.I cut several bands from one of the stickers and attached them on opposite sides of each bowl. I was concerned the grit might damage my scissors, so I used an old multi-purpose pair from my husband's stash of workshop tools. But the sticker was easy to cut, leaving smooth edges, and cutting didn't seem hard on the scissors at all. I made sure the bowls were clean and dry, and the stickers adhered very well. A tool is included to help squeeze any air out from under the sticker, but I didn't need to use it. I was able to press the strips in place and just smooth them out with my fingers. I didn't get one of the strips aligned very well the first time and I and was able to lift and replace it and it still adhered tightly. Now, I'm able to hold the bowls much more securely when washing them. The stickers are indeed waterproof and are in no danger of coming off. The grit is just enough to provide a good hold but isn't rough or uncomfortable to my fingers. The stickers are semi-sheer so I can still see the color of the bowl underneath, and the strips I cut actually look pretty nice. Next time I will try cutting out cute designs! These stickers were well worth the price and they are quite versatile. So, I'm happy to have the extras on hand for other uses.
