I'm torn on what to say about this because on the one hand, it is indeed a fun little idea for a kid's art project. But on the other hand, it's a few cellulose sponges, a couple watercolor aqua pens, some really cheap markers, and a couple odds and ends.If I spent half this much on cellulose sponges, I would get more like a hundred of them.If I then spent the other half of this cost on the other included stuff... I would get everything here and probably a nicer set of markers.Or in the case of an artist like me who already has nicer markers, I would just not get markers and save some money and have ten times as many cellulose sponges. It's not the most cost effective way to do this craft for sure. But it does what it says on the tin and you can have fun with this kit and a couple kiddos. So putting my cynical voice away for a moment, it's a cute kit. I think it's overpriced. But you can have fun with it.So I'm giving it a grudging 3 stars. I would give 4 if it was double as many sponges and 5 if it was also half this price. The markers that are in it are not great tho. So I kinda feel like they're dead weight in the kit.Even some basic dollar store washable markers would do instead.

3 stars because it does what it says it does, here are my thoughts.1) the item had no instructions. It's a bit intuitive, but some of us like some direction.2) the markets are nice and bright as advertised. The advertisement also refers to the markers as squeezable and having a sponge tip, these are neither.3) they included little chains and the "canvases" have no hole. Although it is done, so you could probably poke a hole with a fork.4) it is very difficult to control the amount of water using a brush pen. I personally do not think the sun in the ad is reasonable achievable. See photos.5) kit send expensive for some markers, water brushes and thin sponges. But it was cute and fun.6) young children (like in the ad) can color them, but unless they want to ask puffy, probably can't do the water. Please see the photos and video for more info.Note* there is absolutely nothing wrong with this kit. If you've used something similar and know what to expect, you'll love it. My comments are from a novice perspective.

The Magic Puffy Paint kit is okay, but could be better. It comes with a small wood easel, 12 markers, 3 empty, fillable tube pens, 10 paper boards, and 10 key chains. There were no instructions included. And it would have been nice if some of the paper had pre-printed designs or a couple of stencils included in the kit. The kids used the markers only because we weren’t sure what the empty, fillable pens were for. I thought they maybe should be filled with water to help drip it precisely on the paper for it to puff up, but once unscrewed I could not get the pen back together, and gave up on it. And we used a disposable eye dropper instead that I already had. The kit is confusing without instructions, and the instructions on the product page seem a bit lacking.
