I do slight modding of old vintage video game systems and needed something to hold some of the smaller boards from controllers or CD-ROMS and this is exactly what I needed. The mat has a nice anti-slip rubber coating and the magnetic adjustable arms are a great way to hold the boards I am working on. The fact that the arms are magnetic adn can be mounted anywhere on the mat or in whichever configuration I need for the current project is great. I can't believe I have gone this long without getting something like this for all these years.

I was using a cheap set of third hands from Harbor Freight and was so frustrated with the lack of tight connections and control of the parts I was working with. I was splicing led strip lights for a display cabinet and this set of helping hands made the job so much easier. No complaints.

These work great for holding things when I solder. Bonus points if you happen to have one of those tool boxes with the closing metal tops. All of the parts holders will stick stick to the tool box too.

Works well for small projects and arms have very strong magnets. Took one star off because clips are loose and it’s hard to keep a certain angle for soldering.

These soldering clamps are great for keeping things in place when you are trying to focus on delicate jobs. I always find myself stuck between wanting to hold something close to the tip for precision reasons, but also afraid to solder my fingers to the board because I am too close and a slip up would leave me embedded there forever. These resolve that issue by allowing me to hold something securely in place and free up my other hand for more precise maneuvering. The arms are stiff, but hold in place, and the magnets are nice and strong. This is a great set for a soldering station.
