This product is literally ready to use in seconds - as long as it takes to size & screw-in a heater coil. It's got a built-in fan in the tail where the power cord exits, and there's a white LED at the top where the coil elements screw into the head. Lightweight & easy to use - you'll have no problem holding it for the maximum recommended 2-minute runtime. The unit itself is rated for 1000W, and this is obviously going to be reflective of the maximum inductive load the coil would be pushing magnetic eddy currents into, like a solid iron bolt. Less ferrous materials won't load the coil as much and won't pull as much current to heat. They'll also take longer to heat. The test bolt I used only pulled around 300W but got smokin' hot in about 10 seconds. Some details to keep in mind about using this tool:1) Not a toy. Yeah, it can make bolts and other metal objects red-hot, but using it for this purpose risks damaging the product.2) 2 minutes max runtime followed by 5 minutes of additional cooling. I expect this requirement is for usage cases under "maximum" load, because I didn't see any significant internal heat build up for my testing at 300W.3) Never run unloaded. That means two things - (1) Never power it on without a finger-tight connected coil installed in the head, and (2) never push the power button to turn on the heater unless there's a metal object or bolt/nut centered in the coil. Don't press the button first then align the coil over the object to be heated. Lack of a load can damage the high-frequency transformer.4) This thing emits a monstrous magnetic field. Be mindful of magnet-sensitive materials on or around the object being heated. Don't wear rings, watches or jewelry when using this tool.5) Beware of adjacent heating in close proximity of the coil. If the object you're heating isn't as ferrous as some object nearby, the coil could actually heat the other nearby object more than the object centered in the coil.6) Never heat an object to red-hot. If you do (or did), you've unnecessarily gone too far.7) This device can permanently damage/burn thermal imagers. Be mindful of maximum temperature ratings of thermal imagers and move the imager away from the object being heated before you reach the max temp of the sensor. Failure could result in permanently burning the imager sensor.Yes, I would recommend this product!

This is a very nice induction kit. The aluminum storage box is a very nice touch and there were a generous number of induction loops included in the kit. This is a great handheld unit that can easily be transported for any commercial or DIY profit. Nice quality unit!

Unpacks and is ready to use within ten minutes (or less) if you are familiar with how these work. I don't have the most experience with these but have used similar products on and off for about 20 years. This is an excellent product that should handle even the toughest bolts barring any sort of really heavy duty industrial type setups.
