You will need a metal plate on your machine in order for this to work! I have a legacy Pfaff, so it works for me. If you're sewing something extra bulky (I'm a costumer, so I often am sewing with heavy fabrics) it can shift, but for everyday sewing needs, it works well!

Can’t sew a straight line to save your life? Now you can!!! This magnetic hem guide is easy to use and completely adjustable. Just keep in mind that you need a metal plate for it to attach to (so many machines are plastic these days). The magnet is very strong and does not slip around. I’m very pleased with the function of this product, very durable.
