Every time I back up in my old Avalanche, I find myself looking at the dashboard, only to be reminded AGAIN that the vehicle doesn't have an in-dash screen. Those days are officially over! This camera and screen display a very high-quality picture. It is larger and has better quality than the early backup cameras, and while not quite as good as the latest crop of in dash displays, it easily equals those from just a generation ago. I love that it has a zoom in/out capability, and there are more display adjustments than you would get in your car.The connection distance is incredible, certainly far enough for most boats or trailers you might be considering. It is very simple, just turn it on, and the camera pairs with the screen. It is also very portable, you can suction to your windshield and stick to a bumper (or trailer), and as long as you have a 12V or USB outlet in your vehicle you are good to go. They include most everything you will need for various mounting scenarios, even if you want to make it more permanent. Even comes with a block to plug in the wall to charge the camera, an item most manufacturers no longer include. I don't know how long the solar panel needs to charge the camera, but it is just one more feature to keep the unit completely wireless. For my uses, where I plan to move it from an older truck I have, various trailers, and my boat, the portability is fantastic. If you want to permanently mount it, however, the camera is about 20X larger than what you would want. It will stick out like a sore thumb, and no doubt attract thievery. If you were to park your vehicle somewhere that you won't be, I guess you'd just have to take it off and put it in the vehicle. I guess that's the price you pay for portability and no wire installation. I also don't like the antennas coming out from the back of the screen unit, which makes flush mounting 'almost' impossible.Taking all the good with the few drawbacks, and applying the price, this is an absolute super product. As long as you know what you are getting and are not expecting a tiny camera you will mount and hide next to your tag, I highly recommend this system.

Amazing camera, plug and play. The camera has a super strong magnetic base that sticks to any steel surface. The monitor is 12-36V and can be powered by a cigarette plug or an adapter to battery.Use the +/- button to zoom in/out. The Backup Guide Lines can be adjusted: up/down, left/right, or widened/narrowed.Press M (Menu) then use (+) to navigate to System, then P-Line.Press OK to choose, then use (+) again to switch to ON—the Guide Lines will appear.Right after the Guide Lines appear on the screen, you can press OK to choose:H (Height adjustment)M (Move left or right)W (Widen or narrow the lines)Then use the (+) or (-) button to adjust the Guide Lines.

We often use my Wife's Uncle's RV to go to away games for my alma mater's team. Or the occasional family trip to the beach. I admittedly get nervous piloting something as large as an RV on the interstate, and especially once we get into town. This backup camera helps to reduce some of that anxiety. There are no cords to worry about, since you can go wireless with it. The monitor itself shows a good clean image. No lag problems with the transmission from the camera to the display. It does what they say it does, and best of all it was not hard to install and set up. This is something that no RV should go without.

Ordered this backup camera for a Ram pickup that doesn't have one built-in. It's the truck we use to pull our Alpenlite so this will make a big difference. The camera, screen, etc. came well packaged with everything necessary to get it installed and set up. The system seems to be pretty well made for the most part. The camera has a wide field of vision and produces a good quality image with a better depth to to it than the built-in backup camera that came on our other pickup. The camera switches from color to black/white when it gets dark but still gives a fairly clear image thanks to the good light gathering capabilities. The magnet that holds the camera and solar panel is strong! Even some nasty potholes couldn't dislodge it. The camera can also be charged via either USB-C cord or the built-in solar panel. The suction cup that holds the monitor is only moderately successful. It sticks to the windshield but the screen isn't fully secure and wobbles all over the place. The monitor itself is a nice size and is easy to view. The menu system is not overly intuitive and it likes to autoscroll whether you want it to or not. It took almost 5 minutes to get back to English after simply trying to get the backup lines turned on. Aside from that, this does seem to be a good backup camera system that will be getting some serious use as camping season is fast approaching...
