We recommend that you use a container with a flat bottom, not too thick. Do not use metal containers. It's difficult to heat to boiling condition with stirring ,because of the stirred liquid keeps losing heat. As a result, we suggest that stirring shall be stopped when heating is performed, or you can get boiling liquid by heating and stirring such liquid in a sealed container.
The magnetic stirrer is ideal for stirring and mixing to the need and use in school laboratory, homebrew, food processing and agriculture or some DIY at home. We suggest that the device should not work continuously for more than 16 hours at a low speed and 4 hours at a high speed and high temperatures. When working at high temperatures, please pay attention to control the time to prevent liquids from evaporating and drying up.
The hot plate has a strong magnetic field to keep the stir bar firmly in place. The size of an original magnetic stir bar is 1.18 inch and it is enough to stir a lot of liquid. If you want to get the max, stirring speed faster than the device default, there is a trim resistor at the bottom of the unit. You can use a screwdriver to fine-tune directly.

I was very impressed with this product as someone who mixes resins and silicone I needed a stirring device and this magnetic stirrer really did hit the spot.I also used it to make teas and temperatures while using the stirring hot plate and it worked amazingly well.Variable heat level good quality product and after months of use it is still going strong.I did purchase a couple of extra magnetic stirrers so I can use specific ones for specific things but they were cheap enough and it worked great.Construction of the item was good strong and decently made which I was very surprised at and I can definitely say it's something I will continue using for a long time.

This is really nicely made, well the main unit is.The heating up is very good and gets up to temp in a decent enough amount of time, although it would be nice to be a bit quicker.The heat distribution is ok but not even across the plate, which was expected.My main issue, whilst not terrible is that the whole stirring mechanism is a bit poor and not really that well done. It all seems a little flimsy, but it does work, so it's not a terrible issue and still ends with 4 stars, which is fine.

This tool arrives in a easy to recycle cardboard box. As well as the tool you also get some rather useful accessories. A power cable with a UK mains plug, manual, a spare fuse and a single stir bar.Plus a thermometer and a thermometer holder.The tool is incredibly well made, so it's very sturdy, durable and easy to clean. Especially the hotplate which is made from aluminum. Something that wouldn't feel out of place in a professional laboratory or a school science lab.It's also really easy to use, especially as it has 2 control dials. One for stirring speed and one for temperature, controls that that can be used together or independently. However there's no markings on either dial, which means you have no way of knowing what the stirring speed and temperature is.Hence you have to experiment by moving the dials slowly until you reach the desired settings. Which, for the stirring mode, can result in materials being under or over mixed and in some situations that can mean expensive materials being wasted. Something that can be frustrating.Though once you find the sweet place on the dial, it can do a very job at mixing stuff. With a good dispersion of materials at both the top and bottom of the mixing pot.Though it's slightly less good when it comes to heating things. To know a temperature you need to fit the thermometer and the thermometer holder. While both parts fit securely the thermometer, which looks and works like something from your kitchen, the thermometer isn't always very accurate. Which, given this machine can heat things to over 200 degrees centigrade, was a tad worrying.Plus this machine doesn't have a timer function either, and given it can reach some very high speeds, so you'll need to observe it all the time. It's not something that you could risk leaving unattended. That aside it's a very effective tool, something I found to be perfect for mixing paints, glitters and resins.Overall ? Yes it's a nice bit of equipment, especially given you get two features for a reasonable price. However the lack of accurate controls, especially precise temperature control, means it's best suited as a mixer rather than a heated mixer.
