Happy with this item. Effectively props the door open just enough to allow enough air circulation in the front loader. Nice strong magnet pops on and off easily.

This is a simple device to keep your washing machine door propped open after use to allow things to dry out and prevent mold of mildew from forming. Well, our mop handle leaned in between the washer and door was also a simple device but this door prop is much classier, and I don't have to worry about tripping over it. They send you a couple adhesive magnetic disks in case your washer is not magnetic in the place you will be using the prop. Door prop holds the door open about 4", which is enough to allow our front load washer to dry out after use, but not so far open that it's obstructing hallway traffic. Does a good job.

This item is expensive if you can make your own setup at home. If not, then it works well. I am deducting one star for the high cost.It is best if your front loading washer is metal at the door frame. If not, then use the enclosed metal disks with the adhesive provided.I am planning to stick the item on the metal face of the washing machine during washes so it does not get lost.Installation is very fast and the product is well made. I will be using this item and will update if any changes in opinion.Edit: I have been using this item continuously since received. It works very well and fortunately my washer and dryer are magnetic and I have not had any issues with using this product.

I have a laundry closet with bifold doors, rather than a laundry room, and a front load washing machine. I've been keeping the closet doors open after I empty the washing machine so that I can leave the washer door open to prevent mold and mildew from growing in the basin. Leaving the doors open all the time was less than ideal, so I was looking for a solution. Enter this door prop. Both ends of the prop are magnetic. I stuck it on the face of the washer at the top, and I can close the washer door enough to close my laundry closet doors and still leave plenty of room for air to flow into the washer so that no mold can grow. It comes with 3 metal discs with adhesive on one side so that you can stick the disc to your washer if the front is not metal. I stuck one of the discs on top of my washer so that I could have somewhere to put the prop while the washer is running and I wouldn't lose it. The adhesive on the discs is strong and the magnets on the prop are super strong, too. I love this little tool. Definitely recommend!

I got a couple different styles of this type of device to see if any one style was better than the other. (here is the other one I tried: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHRMV7C3 )The answer: No, even though they are styled a little differently, they work the same.It does exactly what it is designed to do. It magnetically attaches to the metal of the washing machine and keeps your door propped open for ventilation. If for some reason your machine is non-magnetic, it's no problem, the product includes several adhesive magnetic discs.Bottom line: It is a good product and a clever innovation to keep your door open.

This simple little object works great for keeping the washer door slightly ajar....keeping it out of the way yet allowing airflow so there is no issue with mold/mildew.While the silicone rubber is very firm, it's accordion-shaped construction does provide a little give so that if the washer door is slightly bumped, it shouldn't dislodge the device nor cause any other issue. In situations such as mine, where the washer door inside is plastic, they provide 3 small circular metallic disks that have a strong adhesive on one side. It is very simple to peel the adhesive cover off and stick a disk in an appropriate spot on the inside of the washer door (ensure you have lined up the spot so the device fits correctly before applying the disk!!!). My washer frame was metallic so I did not need either of the other 2 disks. The disks are very thin and thus should not cause any issue with properly closing the washer door after you've applied it (just be smart about where you put the disk). The only problem I can see is if I lose it while running a load in the washer...but that would be on me and not the device. This is a great solution to a real issue with front load washers.

This is truly and elegant solution!Elegant = simple, efficient, economical and does the job perfectly!Simple simple simple! Magnetic, silicon covered magnets at both ends.If your washer is all metal, you're all set!I thought I was until I realized that the inside of my door would not stick to the magnet (plastic? Aluminum?), irrelevant! I just used one of the two little auto-stick-on metal disks and glued it to the inside of the door of my washer. Problem solved! Now my washer door can stay ajar to avoid moisture in the tub AND it also stays almost closed and out of the way (without this marvelous gizmo, the door would always yawn fully open and get in the way of the corridor).Verdict: Highly Recommended (to anyone with a front loading washer)
