The Makita XRJ05 recipricating saw from CPO (Certified Pre Owned) appears in like new condition, operates as expected, all functions seem to be in like new condition and it even had what appeared to be PVC plastic chips in the drive section of the tool which I can only assume was because of some sort of operational testing. The only concern I had was that it was loosely packed in a cardboard box with minimal packing materials and the box appeared to have the usual signs of your typical man-handling so I can only assume that the poor tool had some bumps and brusing in it's journey to me. The tool appears to be an authentic Makita tool, at least as far as I can tell. The Name 'Makita' is spelled correctly and it looks and feels like the real deal. I gave four stars to the company, CPO, not the tool, for how they packaged and protected the tool for shipment.

I love this tool, it has been about 3 years since my last SAWS ALL broke. It makes the best yardwork tool and it is a Recharable Electric tool also!!!

i bought one of these from another vendor and had a problem with the blade attachment- I think another review mentioned this. I couldn't wait for a repair so bought another- a lot of power and really what you need for renovation/demolition. Keep changing the blades out and this will cut through anything- even 6 inch galvanized pipe.The renewed item was in perfect shape so I am happy so far.

I am a small contractor and demand a lot of myself and my tools. Makita will not disappoint you and they are adding new features all the time such as soft start, and battery charge indicators etc. and even 4 modes of power on the new impact driver. I have told many people that you will not be disappointed. This Sawzall is another excellent example of a high quality tool that will go that extra mile when you need it.

Makita has many different 18v sawsall models. This one has the bigger brushless motor and 2 speeds. It is probably more than I will ever need. Works perfectly. With a 3.0 amp hour battery I could cut through 3/8" steel conveyor frames for about 16 min with a fully charged blade. The sawsall blade wore out before my 3.0 batteries.
