Great for V nipping leather for corner relief cuts. Cuts clean both veg & chrome tanned. Tried the pattern nippers & pig ear markers - both with poor results. You can regulate the depth. The cutter has a hooked nose which holds your depth while the others tended to push the leather away. Worth the investment. Meant for metal but a great re purpose.

I use V notchers on a nearly daily basis and these have far exceeded my expectations. I have used 4 different brands now and the Malco's are the easiest to operate and have the least quirks to them. Great purchase

I did not like the locking mechanism. I use them for light metal and PVC covering for pipe installation

These were an obvious choice at the price and they are really smooth cuts with little effort. I would recommend these to anyone.
