If you are going to bother to print and sell a scale chart then putting the scales in more than first position seems like it would have been required. I could have printed this two page thing off Pinterest for free.

This "book" is a complete waste of time!I know it is not expensive, but it really is a load of rubbish. It is a glossy A3 page folded in half into a pamplet. It shows a few scale charts in the first position but thats it. For scales with the root starting on the second or third string it doesn't show any notes at all on the lower strings at all!Mine arrived about half an hour ago. I will throw it in the bin and buy a different book. I see amazon have another mandolin scale book at similar price with much more context.Please don't waste your money on it.

Come on people, it's a chord CHART. Where does it say "Book" anywhere in the description?Short and sweet chord chart for the mando. Easy to read/understand and use in everyday playing. Isn't that what a chord chart is for?

This is a great guide to playing the mandolin. It is simple, well-presented and very helpful, could be publishied in a more convienent size, however.

Since this was a folder style booklet, while trying to open the the flat cardboard packaging I ripped the booklet in half. A manila envelope would have been better for shipping this item.

If I could give a rating lower than one star, I would. This is not a book, nor does it have four pages. It is a piece of card stock with a couple of scale patterns printed on it...They didn't even bother to go over every mode. To say the information presented is sparse would be doing the word "sparse" an injustice....I feel totally ripped off having paid a total of $8.13 to get this piece of cardboard. There are much better BOOKS with many PAGES in them for less money. Really.The title of this review says it all.
