This is a drop in replacement on my TDI. Less expensive than the big box stores and their private label filters of unknown origin.Installation is easy and takes only minutes and fit is perfect. Can’t go wrong.

Qualité parfaite, c'est du mann-filter, pas de surprise. Posé sur Golf 6 tdi 105.Attention au réamorçage. Si ça ne démarre pas, il faut mettre le contact 10x sans tenter de démarrer. On entend la pompe qui amorce et envoie du diesel. Après 10 mises en contact, tenter de démarrer, mais ça ne démarrera pas. Il faut le faire 4 fois en tout. Donc 10 mises au contact, essayer de démarrer, 10 mises de contacts, essayer de démarrer. Donc 40 mises de contacts et essai de démarrer toutes les 10 x. Après 40 fois, magie ça démarre.

As I opened the box and pulled out the filter, there was some paper fibres coming off the filter as I handled the filter with my hands. It is a bit concerning to see this and I was wondering if this will clog up my fuel lines or go into the engine causing damage.

I own a 2012 Jetta Sportwagen with the CJAA engine. This filter works great in it and it was a relatively easy change (just make sure you have lots of shop/paper towels on hand and wear disposable gloves and safety glasses!). I've owned VW diesels for about 15 years now and have tried to used Mann filters whenever possible as they are an OEM supplier to VW. This filter offers all the benefits of the stock filter you'd get at a dealer, but for a much better price since the box doesn't have the VW/Audi logo on it. The filter I received was made in Germany. (The Germans make good stuff, as Vince the Shamwow guy once told me.)Anyway, if you need to replace the fuel filter on your late model TDI, this filter will work just fine.
