First use one of the fittings exploded, I spoke to tech support, they said it's super rare and warrantied it immediately.

Appears to be constructed well. Very easy to connect and disconnect. When both pieces are connected then fluid/air goes through. When disconnected it doesn't.. works just like an air compressor's air-line disconnect fitting.Have not used yet but will in the next few weeks.

These connect work great and make it easy to bleed your Seastar hydraulic steering system. Fairly inexpensive to rig up a hose and replicate the bubble purge method, or even just use them to use the Seastar method of bleeding. Either way, much easier to use the QD fitting than to mess with forcing a hose on the fitting and hoping it doesn't pop off. Anyone that has had a hose pop off knows the mess it makes.

I'm giving this a 4 star rating instead of 5, because I didn't have the option to by the female side of the fitting separately. When setting up a steering ram bleed kit, you need more female connectors than male connectors. (The rams already have the permanent male connectors as part of the bleed valve. ) I run twin cylinders so I ended up with 4 extra male connectors. Not a deal-breaker by any means, just a waste of metal...and the price might have been a bit lower. These connectors are smooth and solid -- very handy.

I used 2 pairs of these fittings and had some plastic tubing to make my own one person bleeder tool. Saved quite a bit of money.
