We offer replacement pins if you break them on accident. If you need more leverage we incorporated a 1/2 Socket for a breaker bar. I am really impressed by this tool. First it fit perfect for my particular outboard. Next having four pins really helped to grip the cap and reduced the chance of slipping. I have used the two pin versions and they always want to slip or you have to have a set of helping hands, one to apply pressure to keep it on and another to actually turn. This once gripped perfect I can do everything by myself with no issue. I did have to attach it to a breaker bar to initially break the cap loose (I use my outboard in saltwater), but once I did that I could use just the tool itself. The only improvement would be to make the inside rubber to prevent any scratching, but if you are careful you don't even have to worry about that. Amazing tool!

Tools suffers from the prongs or tips being weak, the first use resulted in 1 bent prong, one broken prong and scoring of the end cap I was trying to remove. If this tool was to be used on pre-loosened parts, it would work but not with 1/2 " drive tools............cannot recommend.

Great looking tool, built well, but, it definitely does not fit 2007 hpdi Yamaha 225. Just about 1/16 too big.

I used this tool to replace the power trim seals on my 250 Yamaha outboard. Worked like a champ! One of the pistons was quite difficult to remove until I bought this tool!
