  • BRIDGE PINS FOR ACOUSTIC GUITAR: These high-tech pins are made from Liquidmetal, which reflects energy instead of absorbing it. The result is an increase in volume and sustain without sacrificing the low-end, or richness, of the guitar’s tone. They are extremely durable and will last much longer than most bridge pins on the market today.

The “End Pin” other reviews say you’ll never use is actually for the bottom end on things like their X Series Special. I can confirm for anyone else who may have had their bottom pin where you connect your strap go missing that this is what you need :)

Inlays were not of uniform quality. Some had lots of "fire," while others were very dull. Had to pull from two sets to get one useable one. Also, overall slightly smaller & less robust than a set I had bought from the Martin booth at the Philadelphia Folk Featival years earlier. Honestly, I expect more from somethimg with the Martin brand on it.

These do the job fine. The bridge pins should work on most any acoustic. The packaging (plastic box with the padding as pictured) is a bit overkill, but that's not really a legit complaint. The fact that there are seven to a set is kind of brilliant, the little guys get away from you every once in a while and having an extra around might prove handy.

If you don't know what abalone looks like it has a purple/greenish aurora pattern to it. That is what is inlaid and it is very nice. I was thinking this was ebony wood, but it is NOT. It is plastic. So if you are building a guitar or replacing bridge pins and want to use these thinking its wood, order the $18 one labeled ebony with abalone inlay.BUT it looks very nice and fits perfectly. I used on my custom made Koa guitar, but i will be ordering ebony ones since i think it will look better.

I tried some brass pins but they kept popping out, even with a bend in the eyes of the strings so wanted to find another set with abalone inserts.... stumbled across these, since my pickguard is black and the rings around the soundhole are abalone, these seemed like a decent choice. Well, they came out fantastic, hold well and look great. Just need to find an ebony saddle now....

I wanted to replace the plastic pins in a recently bought Martin D-18 guitar. These ebony with abalone dot pins fit perfectly and look so much better, matching the fret board with its abalone dots. A good buy.

They perfectly compliment my Silvertone with abalone inlays. I'd like to note that I had to use a little magic when installing the end pin (was too small, width-wise). I highly recommend these if your pins are either cheap or too hard to remove. These come up a little higher than some bridge pins and come out easily. Great product. The pictures do them no justice, I'll post some of my own.
