I love the color of this set. It just so happens that my favorite color is green.The set looks nice and classy and almost like a decorative piece on your countertop if you decide to keep it out. I keep it together with my espresso set up so I can do matcha lattes when I don't feel like espresso lattes.If you are new to brewing matcha then the instructions are very helpful and easy to follow. Literally follow each step and you'll have a great matcha experience. Just remember to add more water to your taste or add honey or sweetener if straight matcha is not your thing. The bamboo whisk is delicate so make sure to follow the instructions and not let the whisk hit the sides or bottoms of the mixing bowl and the whisk should last you quite a long time. A little tip I seen on the internet is that you should soak your whisk in some warm water before the whisking process to give the whisk a little more elasticity.Very nice set highly recommended

Fantastic gift idea. It comes packaged nicely and includes all pieces necessary for a complete matcha kit. The bowl and chasen holder are made of a thick weighty ceramic. The bamboo whisk and spatula allow your to make matcha the traditional way. It even comes with a sifter to break up clumps and allow for even whisking. Make sure to "bloom" the bamboo whisk with warm water each time so the tines can expand and become more flexible.

We drink a lot of matcha at my house, and usually just toss it into a smoothie or use a normal metal whisk to make it. This is the first time I've used a full matcha set, though not the first time I've used the bamboo whisk. I bought one from Teavanna eons ago, and since it didn't come with a stand to dry it, it got ruined pretty fast.This set is perfect. It comes with everything you need to for a tea ceremony, except for the little mugs. The whisk works well, doesn't have a weird odor and fits perfectly in the holder, where it dries thoroughly without molding. The coloration is much more beautiful in person, with a unique glaze. It's well made, doesn't drip when you pour and is perfect for slowing down and mindfully enjoying a cup of tea. It makes even culinary grade matcha taste so much better.I wish I'd bought one sooner.

I ordered this for my matcha drinking daughter for her birthday and she could not be more thrilled! This set is even more beautiful than I had realized when I ordered it. It came safely and beautifully packed and perfect for gift giving. Once she received it she was so excited to use it and gave me a master class in how to properly prepare matcha and all the details that went with it. This is a very easy to use set that was well thought out down to every detail and produces a wonderful tasting matcha to drink. Definitely worth every penny based on beauty and functionality.

Some days I'm in a hurry and need to quickly get some caffeine in me before I head out the door. Some days I'm just lazy. On the days where I have extra time and feel inspired to do something a little extra, I like to make a fancy drink. There's something special about making a matcha with high quality matcha powder, perfect temp water, and attractive, high quality tools. Using a whisk, scoop, bowl, sifter, and whisk holder feels special, and it's a great way to disconnect from your phone screen and ground yourself for a few minutes. There's lots of great videos online to teach you how to use these tools, and some other great videos about cremonial tea preparation if you're interested in learning more about the traditions of matcha. This is a nice looking set that I wouldn't be embarrassed about leaving out on the counter if I didn't have cupboard space. The seam where the two halves of the whisk meet looks a little weak, and time will tell if it holds up. Overall, this set still gets five stars from me!

I love the little details on this set - the visuals are lovely with the different tones of browns and greens - very nature inspired. I'm glad it comes with all the pieces required for a seamless matcha making experience. I also liked the small details like the notch in the scoop which lets you lay it onto the edge of the bowl when not in use.
