Nice starter Matcha set. The only thing you are missing is the ceremonial matcha. Also, remember to soak your bamboo whisk before you use it to soften the tips. The bamboo holder is nice. The colors match the picture. The scooper and strainer are nice. The cup is large enough to whisk in and has a spout if you want to use a different cup. It is everything you need to prepare and serve matcha.

This is a great set for a newbie to have all the needed tools. I’m somewhat in that category. I used to just order it at tea or coffee shops, but I now have this set on my desk at work.It looks great and does what it is meant for: You can easily scoop your matcha powder with the bamboo scoop over the strainer for sifting out clumps for easier whisking. The whisk is good quality and ready for soaking in hot water to uncurl the ends and clean it before use.The bowl holds a decent amount of water for several cups of matcha if sharing. And the included whisk holder helps the whisk keep it shape and protect the prongs when you’re all done.It comes in a nice simple box with protective foam for gifting to make sure it’s intact on arrival.I think it’s a decent value for all you get. I have another set that did not include a sifter so this is a nice addition.

This set came nicely boxed. It's really great for gifting, in my opinion. The color and overall look and size of the items in the set are just as pictured. My niece works as a barista at a local brunch restaurant and loves making matcha drinks for herself there and at home. When I showed her the set, she gave it two thumbs up. It's two thumbs up from me as well.

Years ago, I attended a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and purchased a handmade teacup used for drinking matcha, as well as a bamboo whisk. I was not able to obtain other traditional pieces at the time due to the cost.This matcha kit is the perfect set to round out my matcha experience. The ceramic pieces are very well-made and quite beautiful (I ordered it in green). The whisk is well-made, too. The 5-piece kit is very reasonably priced.Although the kit is made in China, and not in Japan, matcha powdered tea prepared with a tea whisk is believed to have originated in China in the 11th century.It truly is a beautiful set.
