This is a good set at a great price. It is what I use in my morning routine. This 7-piece Matcha tea set includes all the necessary utensils for a traditional Matcha tea ceremony or a Matcha latte. Additionally, included in the set is a beautifully crafted and handmade rattan bag. The various shades of green of the ceramic pieces harmonize with the vibrant green color of the Matcha tea. Each piece is carefully crafted and packaged with care, ensuring their arrival in good condition.After washing the metal strainer and ceramic parts in warm water, you can conduct a complete Matcha tea ceremony. Remember to warm the large bowl with hot water and submerge the bamboo whisk bristles in it. Gently swish them around for a few moments until they soften to prevent damage or breakage of the delicate bamboo tips.This is a great deal for the amount of pieces and the good quality of the set.Note: Matcha tea is not included.

I don’t quite know where to start. This is kind of a mixed bag, so I guess I’ll start with the bag, which appears fine for home storage, to keep all of your kit together, but is so large that the pottery components will likely bang around it in if you use it for travel. The chawan (bowl) and kusenaoshi (whisk stand/shape corrector) both have a very light green glaze with dark green flakes, while the chaire (matcha container) is a beautiful, crackle celadon which doesn’t match. The chaire would definitely work at home, with a dedicated space, but the open weave fabric on the sides and underside of the lid, presumably to keep it air tight, could sustain a lot of matcha buildup. The chasen appears to be decent value, and none of the tines have yet broken when used after a good soaking in hot water, despite the fact that my whisking technique, while effective, seems to be a bit hard on chasen. The furui (sifter) seems adequate, though the handle isn’t any too long, given the large diameter of the bowl. Wrapping it up, the chashaku (scoop) seems okay.Put it all together, and you have a good, entry level matcha set, most of which you may eventually want to replace, and won’t cry over if they break; some of which have a natural lifespan and would have to be replaced eventually anyway (particularly the chasen and chashaku). It will definitely get you off to a good start, though. I’m not at all clear why there’s a recent popularity of chawan with spouts, but I suppose it may be for preparing matcha for use in lattées, and perhaps it’s the larger quantity needed for that use which is the reason they’re larger, though you could certainly use this one in the more traditional way, drinking the matcha directly from another side of the bowl.I had hoped for a more compact set to use in our tiny travel trailer but don’t think this is sized well for the very compact amount of space I have available, and the amount of vibration it would be subjected to in there. It will certainly work for other uses, though.Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

First of all, I was pretty blown away by the overall quality of this set. The basket alone is wonderful country Japanese style tote that makes you want to go on a matcha picnic.Securely packed inside is a full set of matcha instruments, from the usual scoop to the whisk holder, to a filter for sifting the matcha. It even comes with a nice ceramic matcha cannister of the perfect size.The macha bowl is the star of the set. It is nice ceramic, has the traditional look, and is the correct size and shape for good whisking. I've seen worse matcha bowls sell for more than this whole set!If I had to find a downside, it would be the whisk. While the rest of the set is superlative, the whisk is underwhelming. It is a low-end 60 tine whisk, which does not froth nearly as well as a 100 or 120 tine whisk. Considering the value of the rest of the set, think of this as a training whisk, and buy a better one when you can.All in all, I am thrilled with this set.

This matcha whisk set exceeded my expectations! Everything came perfectly packaged and looks even better in person. The ceramic bowl is sturdy and elegant, and the whisk works great to create a smooth, frothy matcha. I love that it includes all the essentials — even a travel-friendly case. I was impressed with this set from the moment I opened the box - the lightly padded carrier is beautiful and fits everything included nicely. The set was meticulously packaged, and if you do plan to use it as a traveling set, you can keep the fitted foam inserts to protect the ceramics. I plan on using this at home, but am very pleased with such a good-looking kit - I don't have to hide this away in a cabinet! Each item included is of good quality, with no rough edges or uneven bits, etc. I'm looking forward to using this for the first time! Although it contains no instructions, all you need to know is included in this listing in the available video (it's not that difficult.) The included sieve will make it easier for beginners to avoid "clumping" their matcha powder, and the set is appropriate for all users, new or experienced. The ceramic cleans up in a flash, and the compact size/storage will provide great functionality for all matcha lovers. If you buy it as a gift, you'll probably want to keep it yourself!

Absolutely gorgeous set made of high quality materials. I got this as a gift for a friend of mine who has excellent taste and drinks matcha. I love that it comes in a beautiful basket. The presentation is perfect for gift giving.
