It’s way too loud, literally hurt my ears! There is no volume control…

So here’s the deal folks - this is the metronome I was told to purchase in music school. It’s functional. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a Dr. Beat because you don’t really need that stuff.I’ve owned two in 13 years. My first one was purchased in 2008 and lasted until it was dropped one too many times and I’ve dropped it a lot.My only gripe is there is no volume control whatsoever. Pro tip for those of you who purchase this workhorse of a metronome, just get some tape and cover the speaker partially or completely. It’s still quite loud.

Simple and straightforward, this metronome is easy to use. It's my first metronome so I'm not sure how to rate it comparatively, but I'm very happy with it and it serves my needs perfectly.

Purchased on recommendation by my music teacher who has had hers for many, many years. It’s an excellent metronome for those easily distracted by moving parts. Its size makes it very portable. The sound is just the right loudness, it doesn’t drown out your instrument. The volume cannot be adjusted but it can be turned off to have only the light flicker to the beat, it also came with an earphone. It’s a really nice portable metronome.

I gave my previous Matrix to my grandchildren, and I don’t remember the old one being as loud as this new one. There is no volume control on it, but there is a light you can choose to use. This one seems a little loud but maybe that will be a good thing.

The best. Simple with no sillyness. No one wants to fiddle with a screen and buttons and menus when you're in the middle of practicing. I remember all of us music students confusing each others for our own because we all had the same one. The click is more of a percussive tone that doesn't have a recognizable pitch which is hard to find in digital ones. Straight forward with a big dial for tempo adjustment and on, off, light. Light is where the click is silent but a small red light blinks the tempo instead.

This metronome is way too loud! I got it for one of my piano students but they can't stand the volume. Will try putting a piece of electrical tape over the speaker to tone it down.
