Got this to replace the plastic pop-up drain that came with my Moen faucet from Costco that didn't fit my sink well and led to leaks. This one is stainless steel and so much more durable. Most of all, it was an easy install and fit snugly against the basin and no leaks at all. Love the look too and that you can remove the basket easily to remove hair or anything else that might go down (jewelry). So glad I bought this!

This product is the best pop-up drain for my purposes. It stops water without the assistance of any other clumsy apparatus. It has a removable strainer that works well, but most of all is removable without leaving any restrictions through the drain. You may have experienced drains with unmovable restrictions in them, that can be a collection for debris, and the pop-ups that work with a lever devise have the lever blocking part of the flow of the drain. To me. This should always be the standard design for ALL pop-ups. Thank you.

None of the big box stores carries 1 1/2" drains to fit older sinks. Finding this one online was a lifesaver! 1st class quality and fit perfectly in a 1910 corner bathroom sink!

We replaced our faucets with new ones that did not have the "pull up/push down" knob for opening and closing the drain. The faucets did not come with a drain replacement, and since I had just spent a lot of money buying two faucets, I was looking to replace the drains on the cheap. And here we are.Removing our old drains (about 36 years old) was unbelievably difficult! As far as I could tell, the chrome drain ring might have, at one time, screwed into the drain pipe below. Well, 36 years of corrosion ended any chance of "just unscrewing" this piece to remove it from the sink. I had to get a hacksaw up under the sink and tediously saw through each drain, with about 4" of clearance to pull the saw back and forth. Dozens of skinned knuckles later, I hacked through the pipe far enough that I could break it out of the sink. Since I had to do this for two sinks, the second sink had to wait for my order of a battery-powered sawzall to come in. This DID make the job easier. Yes, this has nothing to do with installing the new drain per se, but if you're replacing a drain you're going to need to think about this part of the job.So back to the installation... I was concerned that our sinks had a very deep depression that the drain had to "conform" to... but it turned out that the silicone washer provided did fill the void properly and I had no leakage after I tightened up the lower nut completely. This part of the installation was trivial, and it was nice to have a metal drainpipe to connect to the rest of the plumbing (extension tube and P-trap).This was less expensive than some plastic drains offered. The push-down stopper works fine and is easy to pull out to remove any hair clogs. Although I haven't tried this, it appears that the stopper is adjustable with some screw settings... and it would be nice if that works, as the "open" stopper is not very wide open. I would like to raise it about 1/4" for more drain flow. I will attempt it soon and I'll come back to report here if it works.Definitely recommend.
