Great product, well built, excellent size.I am a small build 5ft 2in female, for me this bag is big but it's perfect for my uses.I have a number of maxpedition bags which I've been using for years now and still top quality products with excellent build quality. This bag is great for a big laptop with plenty of room for more, it will easily hold a 15in or even 16in laptop with room to spare. I use mine for a number of things, it's great for going to the office, carry on luggage for holidays and trips, great for a gym bag, day trips, car bag and university bag for storing all my paperwork, books, laptop and lunch with still plenty of room for more. I also like this bag for my Gopro and DSLR camera as it has great padding all round including on the base, I can fit all my Gopro accessories, my flash for my Nikon and extra lenses, it has plenty of pockets to keep you organised while shooting or taking videos. All in all a very versatile bag from maxpedition.

This was the first of a few Maxpedition bags that I have bought. This is my Everyday EDC Bag. This bag has all the qualities of Maxpediton. Strong, durable, and well planned.I work as a Truck Driver and a I was a former Chef. I have used this bag to carry everything from My chef Knives and tools, to Lunch, electronics (GPS, Cords, Phone, iPad, and Phone). I have taken it on airplanes as my carry on, filled with clothes, toiletries, snacks, and whatever you like. This bag has held up over the past 3 years, and is still looking good, and there are no holes or tears, or rips, or anything. I beat the living crap out of this bag getting in and out of my truck everyday. If you are a professional who works in an office or you are a blue collar worker like me, this bag will fit the bill. It looks good, and is very functional. There are 4 pockets in the front that will hold tools, electronics, small items. There are two water bottle pockets on the side with straps to hold your bottles to the bag. The main compartment is generous with space. It can be separated with a pocketed hook and loop decider for a CCW holster if you carry. or you can use to secure any velcro item. or you can remove the divider to make one large space for clothing or larger wider items. The back panel pocket is the admin pocket, and is great for holding your iPad, notebooks, pens, calculator or anything really. There is also a hidden pocket behind the front smaller pockets that you can also use for CCW or I put important personal papers, that I don't want easily accessible. It closes with velcro, and looks like it isn't there when closed.I swear by Maxpedition products for the versatility of the bags (hindered only by your imagination), and the complete durability of the products. These bags do cost more. But it will be the last bag you buy. Why spend money on something 2-3 times because it keeps breaking, when you can buy 1. Spend wisely, as I always say.

I have had no issues with any Maxpedition product before, and this is no exception. I purchased this bag as my primary bag for a 15.6 inch laptop.I am also just started grad school and I am using this as an all in one laptop/book bag. It works great for the way I use it.The product has 2 large main areas compartments one contains a removable divider with pockets and velcro, there is also a smaller concealed pocket line with velcro behind the accessory pockets. The bottom has a very heavy rubberized panel, the rest of the fabric is very heavy duty and is coated. The small carry handles also circle around the bottom of the bag, for extra strength. The strap pictured is not the strap you get, I read this in reviews and contacted Maxpedition prior to purchase. They had the problem where people were loading the bag up with so much it would break the plastic clips and swapped to the current strap that loops through plastic grommets and back to a buckle on the strap. The strap is removable and you can still purchase the old strap and replace it yourself, but I am actually happy with the strap. The bad stuff: I do not like the plastic ID window, it gives a cheap look. I am not thrilled by the 2 small pockets, I do not know what they are designed for, but they are almost to small to be useful.Bottom line, the bag is top quality like all maxpedition products I have owned. It is very functional. well designed and serves its purpose well.

I recently purchased a second one of these because I like them so much. The first one is my grab-bag for photography and PR writing, essentially a portable office. I use a Timbuk2 Snoop camera sleeve in the main compartment that holds a DSLR, two lenses, my backup point-and-shoot, a ZOOM H1 voice recorder/external mic for video and podcasting work, various cables, etc. It works really well for a camera bag.FYI: you know those Velcro loops on the top of the bag that are made for a Mag Lite? They also carry a full-size tripod with ease while allowing awkward, yet still functional, access to the main compartment. One tiny detail I LOVE? The keyper snap prevents the main compartment zipper from working open on accident. I REALLY like that since I can sling the bag and feel secure that nobody will be able to get into the main compartment of my kit without alerting me. Definite bonus when riding the bus or metro.Since the Snoop sleeve eats up the main compartment, I house a small laptop in the back padded case. Maxpedition states that it will fit a 15" laptop, but that's in the main compartment. The rear compartment will barely fit my 14.1" Asus laptop, but there is no padding on the bottom or sides of that compartment. Unless I need to do a lot of multi-media editing on the run, I carry a netbook, which easily fits in the secured notepad sleeve. There is enough room to carry the power brick, too, though I usually use the radio pocket for that and the case for my glasses. In the front pockets I carry my e-reader/notepad, camera batteries, SD cards, my phone's charging cable, earphones, and a head lamp (they always come in handy when the workday gets a little longer than the sun's). In the main compartment with elasticized shotgun loops, I carry things that come in handy when the day goes sideways: fingernail clippers to address a hang-nail when working outdoors, pocket knife, lighter, a couple of thumb drives, and a wine/bottle opener. Also stored are a few energy bars. The concealed-carry compartment houses a solar-charger for my batteries, a full-tang knife, and about 1/8 roll of toilet paper (smashed down tube offeres a great way to keep my knife stashed upright). Across the top, I have a number of pens clipped into the pocket. The Nalgene pocket houses... a Nalgene bottle, and if I'm expecting a long day, I can fit a 2L hydration bag (Osprey) in the main compartment with the rest of my gear.Besides the limited padding in the laptop/admin poocket, one slight negative I can find is that waterproofing doesn't last the life of the product. That's like complaining that the sun won't survive the life of the universe: I'm sure I'll be long dead before Maxpedition's fabric tears, and I'd put even money on the bag outliving the sun.I solved this problem with an application of a PTEF waterproofing spray called Star Brite. It's total overkill, but I carry a lot of precious, expensive, and mandatory equipment. Also: I would like the design to be more messenger-bag than briefcase. A strap sewn around the main compartment would feel a lot more secure than the clip-on strap similar to my gym bag's. I've had one of these break in the field, but nothing was damaged in the ensuing fall (the Snoop is very good at protecting gear).Maxpedition replaced the strap free of charge: they really stand behind their lifetime warranty.Excellent product that is incredibly adaptable to any use made by an outstanding company that takes pride in their product as much as they honor the expectations of their customers.Buy one.
