Experienced detailer, 22 years of experience. I've now tried three bottles of this because I couldn't believe how bad each bottle was and figured it had to be something with the manufacturing of a given lot. I tried new buckets, new grit guards, new sponges to make sure it wasn't something else and nope - none of this helped - the soap is the problem. Total junk product. Let me tell you why. This soap doesn't lather up...at all. Calling it "high sudsing" should be a crime because it's got the flattest, worst suds I've ever used. Can't wash more than one panel before the suds are dead and gone in the bucket and you're washing the car with just water. The fleeting suds you do get at first aren't even very good.First of all, the instructions make no sense. Fill a five gallon bucket with water, THEN add soap, and a massive 2-3 ounces at that? Doing this does nothing, you get a glob of soap in a bucket of clean water, as common sense would have you expect. No car wash soap has instructions like this. Not to mention every other car wash soap pretty much says use a capful for a 5 gallon bucket. OK, so let's try it the sensible way, by putting the soap in the bucket first, then filling the bucket to lather up the soap. Medium water jet, strong jet? Doesn't matter how you fill or agitate the soap while filling the bucket, suds will be dead and gone in the bucket in 2 minutes regardless of how you do it. Temps in upper 60s, cloudy cool day - optimal wash conditions. No suds. Temps in 70s or 80s - no suds. Cars being washed are coated with McKee's for all the "synergy" purposes. Doesn't matter, no suds. Double the concentricity - doesn't matter, no suds. McKee's will surely say it's user error or say I should be buying some other McKee's product too to make the soap lather up.This soap just flat out doesn't work. It takes literally 7-10 buckets to wash a small/medium car, as you have to dump out the flat, sudsless water every couple panels and try another bucket. Tried this soap multiple times on multiple cars - all McKee's coated - and it's the same garbage result every time. This last car I did today, I got fed up mid wash and went back to another soap I've used in the past and it had suds to die for, so no, not user error...agitating soap with water isn't rocket science, it should just work. This just doesn't and is immensely frustrating to use. A coated car that is already pretty darn clean to start with is always an absolute breeze to wash - slick, smooth, and quick - but it sure isn't with this.Their original SiO2 Auto Wash is pretty decent, this "updated" stuff is hot garbage.

I use this on my coated lexus with great results. Don't bother to use it on uncoated paint because it doesn't offer any water beading at all.

Used on both our vehicles (black and red), high suds, easy to use, shine and finish noticable.

I watch a lot of auto repair/mod shows and car shows on TV. I saw the ad for Mc Kee's SiO2 products, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I have tried many detailing products over the years and this stands out for several reasons:* Ease of application* The shine and finish is amazing* After driving my truck in the rain for the first time after using McKee's, I got home and truck still looks like it was just washed! The dirt just rolls off!I will definitely continue to use these products on my other vehicles. And will highly recommend to my friends and family.

Works well as a soap, and really helps stretch the life of the existing Si02 coating from the hydro blue. Can’t complain.

Tried this soap as an alternative to Carpro Hydrofoam. I was not impressed as it did not seem to leave any protection on the paint. The hydrophobicity seemed to be lacking as there was little to no water beading. As a soap, it was fine. It has a good fragrance and is soapy when sprayed in the wash bucket. Just was expecting it to leave some more visible protection.

This is my new favorite car wash soap, it left a glossy shine that was super hydrophobic.
