The original battery was becoming a spicy pillow and wouldn't fit anymore. This was a direct replacement with a better battery life. Highly recommend.

Picked this up as a backup battery for my TYT handheld. I keep both the primary and this battery both fully charged for weather related ham radio nets. TYT batteries and radios are very efficient, but keeping a spare to the side has been a great backup. I have run 7 hr radio nets and my primary battery didn’t run out of juice, but it was very close. Having this backup removes the stress of losing broadcast capability.

Replacement is not like popping off the back to get to the battery. There is some work involved in separating the case halves. The kit comes with the screwdriver and plastic tool for separating the case. Not difficult, but not simple.

I needed a backup battery for my TYT MD380. This battery arrived quickly from the seller. It charged correctly. And it lasts a long time. Well constructed. Great price too.
