I recently faced a flooded basement after a heavy rainstorm and turned to the MEDAS Sump Pump for help. With its 1/3 HP motor, it was impressive to see how quickly it removed water, handling up to 2450 gallons per hour. The low suction capability allowed me to drain the space down to just 1mm, leaving no puddles behind. I appreciated the versatility of the discharge options, as the included garden hose adapter made it easy to direct the water where I needed. Its durable construction gave me confidence in its reliability, especially since I didn't want an eco-unfriendly solution with constant maintenance. The setup was straightforward, with all the necessary accessories included, making it ready to use right out of the box. The only minor drawback was the weight, which made it slightly challenging to maneuver in tight spaces. Overall, this pump performed excellently and gave me peace of mind during a stressful situation.

I used it during a recent downpour that overwhelmed our sump basin, and it pumped water quickly and efficiently with no hiccups. It’s easy to install, and the 2450 GPH capacity is impressive for a pump in this price range. The float switch worked flawlessly, automatically activating when needed. The build quality feels sturdy, and it handled debris without clogging. If you’re looking for a dependable submersible pump for emergencies or regular drainage, this one delivers.

We have a good size plastic pool for our dog which she loves to lay in and cool off with. Its always been a pain to drain the pool so we can clean it so I tried to use this pump. It works great! It takes the water level almost all the way down to the bottom pretty fast and the included filter bag prevents any nasty stuff from getting sucked up. Its very quiet and the small size and weight make it very portable. Great pump at a decent price!

I needed a pump to remove rainwater from my above-ground pool cover, as I prefer not to drain that much water into the treated pool. While this pump does work, its performance is somewhat limited. It struggles to be submerged enough to remove a significant volume efficiently. That said, it can operate with less than an inch of water, though at a slow pace—it took me nearly half an hour to clear the cover, requiring me to move it around to target deeper puddles.A standard garden hose fits directly onto the pump. Initially, I thought the pump was faulty due to the slow flow rate, but once I submerged the pump assembly more fully, it moved a substantial amount of water. However, I didn't test its output without the garden hose connection, so I can’t verify its claimed rate of **2,450 gallons per hour (or 40 gallons per minute).**If you're looking for a pump to handle a **flooded basement**, I'd suggest finding a more powerful option. But for **large-volume water transfers or fountain setups**, this should work just fine. One downside—there’s no built-in on/off switch. It runs as soon as you plug it in and stops when unplugged. A simple fix is adding a switch to the outlet for easier control.

I am really impressed with this sump pump! I really needed one to handle flooding in my yard for lower lying areas that tend to become inundated with rain water. I just received it last week, and have been waiting for rain to review, but nothing substantial as of yet. I instead tested on a friend's old hot tub that had a great deal of standing water. It was able to pump the water out very quickly leaving only about 1 mm of water in the bottom that could easily be towel dried at that point. I look forward to using this in my yard, window wells, and anywhere else that should be needed. It is a really great pump to have around. It came packaged nicely with everything needed to set up and get pumping. I opted to connect to a long garden hose to send the water out to a drain when pumped. The instructions were very clear and concise, and the included adapter will conveniently allow different size hoses to be attached. There is also a bonus mesh bag for storage, which is nice to have. I would highly recommend this pump, it is impressive and quite useful.

This is a fantastic sump pump! I use this as a kit in conjunction with 2 hoses and a 5 gallon bucket to clean out my tankless hot water heater and it works perfect for that! The pump is heavy duty and well definitely built to last! Definitely gets the job done in any setting and I’ve had zero problems with it so far. This thing is also very powerful! I highly recommend this sump pump as part of your arsenal of tools!

Right out of the box, using only the included ¾" fittings and with no restrictions on the output, this pump moves about 10.6 gallons per minute, or 636 gallons per hour. That’s nowhere near the 2,450 GPH it claims. So why am I still giving it 5 stars?Because the potential is 100% there. The motor has the muscle (1/3 HP = about 248 watts). The problem isn’t the power. It’s that tiny ¾" outlet. You're basically running a V8 engine with a drinking straw for an exhaust. It can rev high, but it just can’t move enough through the ¾" fitting. To get close to the advertised flow rate, ditch the included ¾" NPT adapter and run a 1½" discharge pipe. With proper plumbing, this pump could definitely get there. But straight out of the box? Don’t expect anywhere near that 2,450 GPH number with the ¾" fitting. It does come with the adapter that you can cut to size to reach that 1½" discharge pipe. But you only get 1 of those adapters. So if you cut it, that's it, that's the size you will forever need to use with this. That or the super restrictive ¾" NPT adapter.Still, I was impressed. With zero head height and only half an inch of standing water, it was shooting water 9 feet straight up. It even did that in less water than that. About the same amount of water in the demonstration video. So like I said, the power is there. It’s just being held back by the restrictive fittings. One last note: it also comes with a fine mesh bag to wrap around the pump, which helps keep large debris from getting sucked in.
