Bought 2 of these. One sang beautifully the other not so much. Returned the one that didn’t sing. As always with Amazon it was an easy return. Have a 4 star because the bowl was not 4 inches but 3 3/4 inches at the mouth.

It looks well made, very cute size that fits perfect in my open hand. I would love it if someone gift this to me. I believe that the mallet would make a better sound if it was covered instead of plain wood. And the colourful base made with wool balls is so pretty. Overall very happy with my purchase.

This is one of the good ones.You'll notice there are a lot of these on Amazon, all looking different and from different sellers.These ones are authentic! Made in Nepal, and you can tell handmade. The little wool 'coaster' and the mallet are handmade and high quality too. The round zipper 'drum case' is nice too!You get the bowl to sing, either by tapping the side with the mallet of by rubbing the outside of the bowl in a firm circular motion until the bowl starts to resonate with the vibrations.This is the real deal. The note is makes is not 'off' as it is with some of the knockoffs here. If you've ever watched those singinig bowl performance youtube videos, this is something like that.It makes a great sound... I like to leave it on my desk, strike it and let the note reverberate around the room, it's very calming.PS: You'll notice on other bowls they have religious symbols painted all over them, chakras etc. This is all just jibberish and deosn't mean anything, real singing bowls are unpainted because it messes with the vibration fyi.As far as handheld authentic made in Tibet singing bowls go, this is top of the line best on Amazon, gold standard.

I bought this as a gift,but I reviewed it quickly and although it's small, it's darling. Very basic, but that's what I wanted. Nice tune and calming. Seemed to be of good quality.
