I purchased the Brinks Commercial medium duty door closer in bronze for an exterior door on our small office building, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. Installation was straightforward with clear instructions and all the hardware included. I appreciated the flexibility of mounting options—it worked perfectly for our top jamb setup.Once installed, the difference was immediate. The door now closes smoothly every time without slamming, and the adjustable closing and latching speeds helped me dial it in just right. It’s rated for doors up to 200 lbs, and ours is on the heavier side, but this closer handles it with no issues at all. The 180-degree opening range is also a nice touch for high-traffic use.I also like the bronze finish—subtle, professional, and a great match for our existing hardware. The 3-hour UL fire rating gives extra peace of mind, especially in a commercial setting. Overall, this is a solid, dependable product from a trusted name in security. Would definitely buy again.

This heavy-duty door closer seems to handle our environment well. It supports our door, which weighs about 75 lbs. The spring tension is adjustable to control the closing, latching, and back check. This closer meets ANSI standards, and it’s ADA compliant, having a full 180° opening range.The closer is designed to fit most commercial door mounting types, includes all hardware, and comes with clear instructions. I also like the fact that it has a smooth and quiet closing.Installation was easy, and based on my experience so far, I expect dependable performance. Not that this is a bad closer but something is inaccurate. On the Amazon web page the closer is described as being ADA Compliant but the box I received states it is Non-ADA compliant. I agree that it is not compliant.The closer is also described/pictured as having a back check adjustment but the closer I received does not have that adjustment screw.Basically, this is not applicable for the door it was purchased for.

Works great if you want a door that shuts smoothly without slamming. It’s adjustable (sizes 1–6), so you can dial in the closing speed and tension to match anything from a light office door to a heavy exterior one. Installation is pretty straightforward too.

Need a new closer for door at church from the wind. Looks perfect for what I need. Heavy duty and the black makes it hide a bit better. The adjustments on arm made it easy to fit our application.

Good quality, commercial grade closer. It's convenient for the exterior door of our office because it allows you to prop it open when necessary and automatically closes the door after opening. Functions as expected.
