The cages seem sturdy, well-made, and stable. However, I won't really know until August or so, when my plants are taller than I am, and when the winds kick up.

it is plastic, but it works really well for my cherry tomato plants that grow tall and need the support. The size of this cage keeps the branches contained and prevents them from breaking in their own weight

My initial thought is this is a lot of work and assembly for tomato cages. The quality is fine and they will work as described and is a good size for plants. You get like 50 pieces of tubing and a bunch of union connectors. I always try to find a redeeming quality and I guess for these is that you can always add layers on top as your plant grows. The other thing is it is fully customizable so you can make all kinds of things and sizes. You could even make a hanging trellis for vining plants or flowers. And instead of 5 63" high cages, you could make 10 30" high cages. This would also make a good erector set gift for someone.
