I’m really impressed by this set. I’m more classically trained and used to tube color and wasn’t sure how these would compare. I was happy to see that the pan colors do have the traditional colors in the mix like ultramarine blue & yellow ocher. The are very vibrant & have very good pigment & color in them. The pan colors are very small but a little bit will go a long way. The paper included is good quality, as well as the plastic case it comes with again better than I expected. The iridescent colors are pretty subtle I was hoping those would pop a little more but overall it’s really an amazing portable set that would be a great gift or starter set for anyone wanting to start with watercolor.

Je viens de le déballer. J’ai été surprise de la taille de cette boite, je la pensais plus petite. Les demi godets sont difficiles à retirer, je me suis déjà abimé un ongle. J’ai retiré une étoile car dans le fond à gauche il y a une bande de plastique, qui ne sert apparemment à rien, qui a été insérée je crois en force car le fond est fendu de chaque côté, c’est dommage et j’espère que ça ne nuira pas à la solidité de l’ensemble. Il me reste maintenant à essayer les couleurs. Il est vraiment dommage que cette jolie boîte ai un défaut.

This is great for beginning artists that want to try watercolor. Everything you need and easy to take with you. I am more experienced artist and I still love this. The watercolors are very good even though they are not professional series and the case is a must have for any sketch / watercolor enthusiast!

This is a gorgeous item which would also make a lovely gift for an artist. The MeiLling paints are excellent quality and great value for the money but then you get the box with paper in that you can add other supplies. On the front you have the clipboard which holds your paper for sketching or for painting. The product is very sturdy, great manufacturing. This is an exceptional piece of art kit.

Wow! For the price, this is a great beginners watercolor set! I was very impressed with the paints and the travel box. The travel storage box is larger than I expected. You can easily fit 8x10 watercolor paper in it and on the front clip board. Others said the travel box was cheap but the quality of the one I received was very good. The paints themselves are perfect for beginners looking to work with high quality paints. My only concern, once unwrapped, there are no paint color identifications on the half pans. Therefore, when you unwrap each paint pan, take a Sharpie fine point and write the paints identification number on each pan. Other than that, I am super happy with my purchase!

Colors in kit is vibrant. Arrived well packaged and on time. Container is well built. Can use for au plein. Really happy to gift this to family. Does not include brush but brushes tend to to inferior in such sets.

These were recommended by one of my favorite YouTuber’s, The Frugal Crafter, Lindsay Weirich who is a very accomplished watercolorist. She works with mostly high priced brands but had tried these and recommended them as a very good set for both beginners and more advanced for the price. As she said, they work well and won’t impede your learning to watercolor. I’ve been pleased with them and feel they were a great value (although they dropped in price after I bought them). I would recommend them t9 anyone interested in watercoloring, much better than a lot of other brands, certainly “bargains ones, but even some of the higher ends ones.

I like the water colors that came in set easy too mix and match. Not mess .The only reason why I Won’t give it a five star is because there needs to be some changes in the colors that come in the case they’re all wrapped up tightly snug and they’re very difficult to get out and swatch out even cut my finger doing this.Other man, it’s a good watercolor paint paints. The value is good however there is an adjustment that needs to be made taking these color pans out while you’re watching them and putting something that should’ve taken me 10 minutes took me a whole hour.

Nice product but my box’s paint and paper storage area had its pencil/ paintbrush tab completely broken off. I suggest adding packing in that area to keep this protected.
