Gifted to 11 year old. She was very pleased. It was challenging at first to assemble. Once open it was good. Unsure how convenient it will be to fold up and reopen for repeated traveling, but for our purpose it will work well until she is ready for a larger easel. It does take up a substantial amount of floor space. Something to consider for indoor use.

It was super-easy to assemble, all screws where there, and the legs are sturdy. Happy with the paint, I used a few and they are just as good as high-end brand names. Perfect beginner kit.

If you can get it on sale as I did, this is a great starter set. The brushes are serviceable, but not great. The easel is a bit wobbly, and the setup instructions are worse than IKEA furniture assembly instructions (HINT: YouTube), but it works well enough. I haven't opened the mediums yet (mine came with two jars of the blending gel, and no modeling paste, fyi) but after a quick swatching sesh I shoved the paints into a box and replaced them. Out of the tube they're gummy, and when you try to thin them with water they get weird and chunky and just unpleasant to work with. The surfaces are nice though. Just enough tooth to provide some nice texture, but not so much that you can't get a good smooth layer. I did notice a couple of small indentations in the corners of the stretched canvases, but nothing major that would disrupt a painting. Worth the full regular price? Probably not. But when it's available for 30% or more off? Sure, go for it. Just expect to have to invest in different paints to have a truly enjoyable experience.

Ok, this is a great easel, but the instructions do not have words., I did struggle initially with the two long legs, and you have to gently pull on them toward you in order to detach them from the sides. I thought they were screwed into the sides, but they weren’t. Besides that, it was easy to put the rest of it together. You do have to unscrew then re-screw the screws to move parts around. I do recommend this set though because there are so many accessories that come with it and it’s great for new / beginning artists.

Caballete francés MeedenDe origen viene embalado en su caja original con protecciones de porexpan, esto está dentro de otra caja de transporte más robusta y Amazon lo ha servido en otra caja además. Con lo cual no es de extrañar que esté todo en perfecto estado. El caballete está intachable y todos los ajustes y mecanismos funcionan a la perfección sin holguras ni defecto incluso leve, para mi gusto es excelente. Está hecho en madera de haya en general, salvo las planchas que son de contrachapado, madera interior, sintético imitación madera en el exterior, imagino que para mayor protección y evitar el barnizado. Su peso es de 5,8 Kg. Se monta como todos los de este tipo (Grande) y queda todo lo firme que se puede esperar de un caballete de estos, sin movimientos ni vibraciones raras. Hay que tener en cuenta que este artilugio puede ser frágil y hay que darle un buen trato, sin darle golpes, aprender bien en casa su funcionamiento y tratar los mecanismos con cuidado. Viene con una paleta que deberemos barnizar, separadores de cajón y una cinta sencilla para colgar. La capacidad de este caballete es enorme y si se llena con conocimiento cabe todo lo que se puede necesitar y sobra espacio, lo malo sale a relucir cuando nos lo colgamos, más vale no recorrer largas distancias con él. Compré esto por el caballete francés ya que el precio me ha parecido muy bueno, pero además me han suministrado en la caja: 2 lienzos (de algodón) con bastidor de 51x41, 3 lienzos en tablilla de 36x28 y otros tres de 25x25, 10 lienzos en cuadernillo para bocetos y pruebas de 30x23, 20 paletas desechables, 11 pinceles sintéticos bastante decentes, 3 pinceles de cerda pasables, un paletina de cerda, dos espátulas muy sencillas, todo ello en un estuche para pinceles. Una caja con 2 pinceles de precisión, un lápiz de plomo, una goma y un cutter. 10 colores acrílicos, 1 barniz y dos tarros de médiums. Esto último no creo que lo use. Tenía muchas ganas de tener un caballete francés para llevar todo ordenado incluso con 2 lienzos acoplados para protección, este cumple todas mis expectativas y además me han regalado muchos útiles que a algunos se les podrá dar buen uso. Recomiendo totalmente este caballete francés a todos los que quieran transportar el material para salir a pintar al aire libre o de vacaciones. Para casa es preferible absolutamente tener el estudio montado con caballete profesional.

I bought this set to give as a gift to a poor young man that always sit at the entrance of a Pharmacy. He never ask for money but I see sometimes he sells some painted shells he finds on the beach for a few coins . I thought I could help improve his life by giving him something to make him happier and at the same time help him get more money for himself. This kit is excellent. He can take it everywhere he goes and has everything he needs. Acrylic paint has the advantage of being less expensive and can be used on a lot of surfaces that he can find around. It is of good quality. Is perfect.

I wanted to give painting a go, so I purchased this set. I am incredibly happy with this set, the french easel is of good quality and sturdy, and the paints were fresh. I tried painting using the painting pad and it went well. I think it's a great value for everything included, it even includes small things like a colour wheel, which is a nice touch.
