I didn’t know what I was missing until I got this pair of swim trunks. Of course, my current trunks are about 20 years old. I especially like how lightweight these swim trunks are. My other trunks had thicker material (not necessarily a good thing for swimming) and took a long time to dry after getting out of the water. These trunks don’t weigh you down when in the water and dry quickly in the sun. The elastic waistband and drawstrings allow for a perfect fit. I wear a medium, 32” waist, and these fit as expected. The compression liner keeps everything in place. I especially like the two zippered pockets on the outside to keep things secure compared to open pockets or Velcro enclosures. There is a bonus pocket on the outside of the liner inside of the suit. I’m not sure how often one would use it, but it may be handy for a hotel key card and/or credit card. The only negative is that there is a seam that sticks out (not sewn flat) directly in the front and middle of the liner (also runs underneath all the way to the back of the suit). This may be a little irritating to sensitive parts of the body. My other suit had the seams on the side and were sewn flat. I don’t understand why the seam was sewn in this area. Thus, I am taking one star off.

My college-age son likes these swim sorts for several reasons but mainly for the liner and the length. He says the compression liner is a huge upgrade compared to the old mesh ones. He says that it's not overly compressive, and while it does feel more secure, the liner is also softer and more comfortable than the mesh ones. He also likes the length of these; the 5-inch inseam is just right for him. While the 5-inch inseam is shorter than what my older-aged husband prefers, it's what the younger guys are wearing right now, so it's perfect for my son. He also likes the zipper pockets to keep items secure. There's a hidden pocket on the liner kind of like the phone pockets I see on women's yoga leggings; you can access it by hiking up the leg of the swim trunks. I don't know about keeping a phone in it, though, because I'd be afraid of forgetting my phone is in there and then jumping in the water. Although I'm sure there are other uses for the pocket-- added pockets are never a bad thing. As for sizing, note the seller's size chart. It's a little difficult to find; you have to click on a link. I ordered my son a size L even though he is usually a small or a medium. He has a 30-inch waist, which usually falls in S or M territory. The size chart for these trunks has a size L as 30-32 inches for the waist, which surprised me. The size chart shows: S = 26-28 inches, M = 28-30 inches, L = 30-32 inches, XL = 32-34 inches, 2XL = 34-26 and 3XL = 36-38 inches. It would be helpful if this was posted in the photos instead of hidden behind a link. These trunks do have a working drawstring which can help get a good fit especially if the shorts are a bit larger than you want.My son chose these in the color called "Blue-leaf compression." He likes that the swim trunks themselves are classic solid blue, and the liner, which is mostly hidden, has the fun tropical print. He likes that there's a touch of print rather than the trunks being covered in print.Overall, these are really nice swim trunks but be sure to check the size chart.

These swim trunks fit well and look great. They feel snug on me, but I guess that is because of the compression liner. The wife says they look good and don’t look tight. I really like the zippered pockets. They allow me to keep my room key safe with no worries of it falling out in the pool. The material is really soft and the pattern on the material is very cool, but not like young kid cool. I think these take longer to dry than my other swim trunks but not too much longer. The length is just right for me. I think these may be my new favorite swim trunks.

There is a lot to like about these trunks. I ordered these in the "Blue-leaf Compression" and find the color matches the listing photos. I also like the contrasting print on the liner. Size wise, I fall on the lower end of the medium size range and find these to be true to the listed size. As such they feel a bit big but I think the small size would be too small for me.My one issue with these trunks is the pockets. I love that the pockets have zippers and those work great. Where these fall short for me is the length of the actual pocket. I find that if I put anything with any weight to it at all, like car keys, the pocket sags such that it hangs out below the end of the trunks. Had the pockets been sewn a couple of inches shorter, this not have been an issue and the pockets would have still been plenty big.

Right out of the package, these swim trunks felt great—the fabric has a silky, high-quality feel that definitely gives off more premium vibes than you’d expect at this price. The light blue color is really sharp, too. It’s fashionable without being loud, and versatile enough to wear from the pool to a beachside lunch or even just hanging out.Functionally, they hold up well. The pockets are deep enough to fit the essentials—phone, wallet, keys—without things feeling like they’ll fall out. The inner liner pocket is a little small for holding a phone, but it still felt comfortable and secure, so no real complaints there. The one area that caught me off guard was the inseam. When I ordered, it wasn’t clearly listed, and turns out it’s a 5" inseam (now updated in the images). For me, that’s just shorter than I’d like. I know that’s the current style, but personally, I felt they were a bit too short—and my wife and kids didn’t hesitate to mention it either. Honestly, an extra inch would make a big difference in both comfort and look. That said, if you're cool with the shorter length, these are a solid option for summer.

Spouse loves these shorts for both swimming and running. They are generous fit without looking too baggy. The material dries out fast and doesn't chafe. Durable fabric which should last a long time. Recommended.
