Cooltan Men's Tan Through Swim Hipsters allow you to get an allover even tan right through the fabric! Featuring an elastic waist, front liner, and high stretch fabric. The fabric is quick drying, making it great for travel! Made in USA. ABOUT THE FABRIC How does the fabric work? The unique patent-pending fabric used in Cooltan tan-through swimwear is made with a special knitting technology that creates millions of tiny pores in the fabric. These pores allow approximately half of the sun's light to pass through to approximately the same degree as a medium level sunscreen. They are more comfortable than a regular suit because they allow your skin to breathe. Also, because of the suit's construction, the fabric will dry faster if you decide to take a dip in the pool while wearing it. Does the material dry quickly? Cooltan swimsuits dry quickly both when you wear them and after you wash them, making them extra comfortable, and a great travel suit! How fast can you tan through the suit? You will tan at the rate that you normally tan based on your skins melanin content, and that for an even, all over tan we suggest to use an SPF lotion of 6 to 10 (or higher as needed) on skin which is not covered by the suit. We also recommend using sunscreen with an SPF 30 for a more even, all over tan. Can you see through the suits? Cooltan suits are not see through when worn. However, the fabric is quite thin due to the tiny holes in the fabric which allow the sun to pass through the fabric and allow you to tan, and from person to person the level of transparency may vary. Can you sunburn in the fabric? Yes. The fabric works like a medium level sunscreen, and it is possible to burn though this level of sun protection. Please use caution in the sun. Please moderate your initial exposures to the sun until you have a base tan that will help protect you further from sunburn. Remember, vacations should be fun! Can people tell I am wearing a tan through suit/shirt? Not at all - you've likely seen someone in tan through bathing suit or shirt and had no idea. These products look exactly the same as other swimwear and shirts. BENEFITS Are there any health benefits? Yes. COMFORT & QUALITY Where are the suits made? All Cooltan swimsuit fabric, as well as the suits themselves are made in the USA! Do the sizes run big? small? Men's Cooltan suits are true to size. Please order the size you normally wear in shorts/pants. Is the fabric comfortable to wear? Yes. The fabric is soft and smooth, in addition, the porous nature of the fabric allows your skin to breathe, which keeps you cool by letting perspiration evaporate quickly. No. There is no pockets in the shorts because the extra layer of fabric to create the pocket will interfere with the ability of the shorts to allow the sun's rays through and making that are not able to tan through. DURABILITY Can you wear them for water sports? Yes. The fabric used in Cooltan suits is has an exceptionally high resistance to pool chemicals and ocean salt. They are NOT affected by pool chlorine or ocean salt. In addition, the pores in the fabric prevent water from building up inside the suit, which is an advantage for competitive swimmers. Can you wear the suits in a tanning salon? Yes, but depending on the type of lamps used and their placement, the SPF level of the fabric can range from 2 to 20. A pretty wide range! So please be sure to limit your initial exposure to determine what your results will be with each particular tanning device. How do you wash the suits? Cooltan Tan-Through suits are fully machine washable, but DO NOT machine dry them. Hang dry them or lay them flat to dry.
