This interfacing does fuse to the fabric but it is very lightweight and not at all what I would call medium weight. It also comes as one giant piece folded up. This makes it extremely hard to measure and cut. You literally have to unfold the entire piece and then fold it all back up again when you are finished. I don't know who ever thought that was a good way to package interfacing but they should be fired.Buy something else.

This soft texture feel, medium weight interfacing, is a light grey-white color and fuses to fabric completely and smoothly. What I received measures about 39.5" w x 5.41 yds long. The fusible is little glue dots on the back which, is the type I prefer. I used it on quilting cotton and lightweight duck cloth, with a dry iron on cotton setting, covering the interfacing with a piece of muslin while ironing. It bonded to the fabric completely and smoothly even, at the edges. I will be using this interfacing on totes, bags and, fabric baskets as, I like them with some soft shaping so, that it doesn't just flop around. It will not make your project stiff but, will give it some soft body for a bit more shaping.

Although this product was lighter than I expected, the quality is good and worked fine on my project.
