Your cart is empty.Use a damper stop clamp to lock your flue open when installing a new gas log set into an existing wood burning fireplace. If the damper is not open, the carbon monoxide cannot be exhausted up and out as it should. The damper clamp prevents homeowners from accidentally leaving the damper closed while running their new gas appliance. Please check with your local building inspector and/or gas log manufacturer for specifics of installation in your area.

We have 4 fire places. each one with a different damper design. No matter which screw hole I used, these didn't work on any of them. These screws are way to long and get in the way of the brick, which prevents it from closing anywhere close to the clamp.I cut the screws in half with a Dremel and they worked fine.
