The vests are super simple and easy to use as they are similar to those used on snorkeling excursions. It’s a one piece bladder with a wrap around and under strap and a blow tube to fill up the vest with air as desired. While they will work for light water sports such as snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, I wouldn’t recommend using them if you are not a strong swimmer or are going to enjoy water sports in strong or deep water as these are not rated for life saving by maritime standards.

….AND not bad for some mild protection. They do exactly as they are said to do. Keeping you mildly afloat for brief underwater exploration. They seem to also work as a decent life preserver for less heavy and younger kids. Having them on the little ones provides me a bit of comfort knowing that they help to keep them afloat.

The vest worked great! They were easily secured around our waists and between the legs and adjusted well to our sizes. We then blew up the vests by blowing into the inflating tubes. Each of us weighed about 140-150 pounds and the vests held us up upon the water while we snorkeled. They worked well and we appreciated their quality and ease of use. They also included black mesh bags for storage. They were perfect!

Knowing these are not mean to be a "life preserver" they still worked great for providing a level of comfort for novice paddle boarding (great swimmers) and worked as a decent "floaty" while cooling off and paddling around!
