The paddle stride are short, and it seems it's meant for kids, or short people. The resistance is weak - for I am at the highest level, and I can barely feel it. Hmmm.

This exercise bike works pretty well. It won’t work so well from a local couch or a chair with rollers…. So if you’re planning on using this in front of the TV… Prepare to grab an upright dining room chair. I know others have said that they can increase the resistance for a really substantial workout. On mine, I can increase the resistance, but it’s not a really heavy workout. I kind of wish that I could increase the resistance more.In terms of aesthetic appeal, this thing is a winner. The white blends well into my home and it’s very minimalistic looking. It’s easy to carry and feels very sturdy.

This solid piece of equipment comes well-packed, and requires minimal assembly - just bolt on the foot and the two pedals, using the included tools. It took me five minutes to have it ready to go.It sits well under my desk and does not move when used. What does move, I found, is my desk chair. You need to make sure your chair is well-anchored when using this device, as you will be pushing backwards. My desk chair was on rollers, and I ended up having to put a heavy piece of furniture behind it to keep from rolling backward when trying to pedal. The pedal stroke is necessarily small, due to the small size and how close to the floor it is. It would provide better exercise if the stroke was longer, but such a thing would then not fit under the desk. There is a tension knob that lets you easily adjust the amount of tension, and a digital meter that counts your progress. This is a great way to get your heart pumping when you are otherwise sitting sedentarily at your desk. It seems to be very well made, solid, and very quiet (almost silent) when in use.Who is this for?- People who spend long hours sitting at a deskPros:- Well-made- Quiet- Easy to useCons:- Won't work well if your chair has wheels/rollers

Installation took me about 7 minutes. I had to screw in a tube at the bottom and attach the pedals. At the bottom of that tube, I found a sticker with some information. It lists the weight of the under-desk bike (19.4 lbs), the manufacturer’s email and physical address, Zhjiang Yulu Electronic Technology Co. Ltd. in Zhejiang Province, China, and mentions it’s made in China with FCC certification. It's indeed not too long and tall to fit under my desk. It doesn't weigh much and the build is mostly plastic with the bottom flat part and pipe being metal. The under-desk bike has a tension control knob with which I can adjust the resistance. There are 8 resistance levels, but I always leave it at the highest, 8th level - anything less feels too easy for me.On top of the bike is an exercise monitor that tracks distance (DIST) in miles (MI), speed (SP) in miles per hour (MPH), time (TIME) from 0:00 to 99:59, and calories burned (CAL). The SCAN mode cycles through CAL, DIST, and TIME every 6 seconds. The monitor turns off after around 5 minutes of inactivity. To switch modes, I press the MODE button; holding it for 3 seconds resets all data.I always wear socks or shoes while using the bike—never barefoot. It’s almost silent; I hear nothing while pedaling. I can pedal as fast as I want, the under desk bike stays upright and keeps its balance. I also find I don’t lose focus as much exercising with this under-desk bike compared to using a walk pad.

This machine has good overall quality and only requires minor assembling, which made the setup process pretty easy. It’s also very convenient to move around thanks to the included handle. However, I wouldn’t really market this machine as “under desk” friendly. It didn’t fit under any of my desks properly. It’s too long, so I have to move my chair too far back from the desk to use it, which defeats the purpose of working while exercising. Also, even after lowering my office chair as low as possible, my knees still hit the underside of the desk when pedaling. That said, it’s great to use while watching TV. It’s super silent and doesn’t slide much, even when placed over my living room carpet. The resistance level is decent — enough to make me sweat after a while — and provides a pretty good workout.Overall, it’s a good option for exercising at home and definitely better than doing nothing. If you leave it in a fixed spot, it could help build a healthy habit. Just be aware that it might not work well under many desks.
