I use these scissors in the kitchen all the time. The blades are sharp. I love being able to take them apart for washing. They are helpful in twisting tight lids.

having them come apart while you're using them is really inconvenient; poorly finished edges for German scissors, even if they're made in China.

Very versatile---bottle opener, nut cracker screw driver, etc.

These are the best kitchen scissors. I love that they come apart for full cleaning and they clean well, cut well, and look great.

These guys are super sturdy--strong enough for thick flower stems and spatchcocking a chicken! They arrived sharp and ready to go. They come apart and click back together well, for thorough cleaning. Haven't tried the other design features, but I know they'll come in handy. I will buy them again and again!

These scissors have extreme durability because they’re made of stainless steel & are very thick making them very difficult to bend. I was surprised at the price, they’re a great value for the money. The size of these is great because they can fit in a cooking/ serving utensil drawer or receptacle. They can also be put on a magnetic bar or strip to hang on the side of a microwave. The sharpness of these is very useful because of being able to open just about any food package & cut bones, cartilage, wire, cardboard, etc. The functionality of these is outstanding & that’s why it’s great to have a multi tool in the kitchen because it’s a single item that does various different things not just in the kitchen but throughout the house.

Sharp. Versatile. Comes apart to clean. Good size for smaller hands. Comes out of the dishwasher just fine.

The scissors seem to be fine but the packaging is not okay. It uses way too much plastic: a hard transparent plastic package wrapped in a plastic bag.

Sturdy construction. Blades separate for easy cleaning. A useful addition to the kitchen tools.

Very very durable, after using for more than 2 years no problem at all. Can cut through the toughest things you could ever come across in a kitchen. Still sharp. The steel quality isn't the greatest but for the price no complaints.

UPDATE: Downgrading my original review for two reasons. First, these scissors come apart way too easily... I have hardly ever used them without them separating when I don't want them to. Over time this feature has become quite irritating. Second, the metal handles under the black finger guards are not solid all the way around; there's a gap in the middle that you can't see in the picture. As a result if you are cutting something difficult (chicken being an excellent example) the finger guards will bow inward and you'll lose a lot of your cutting power. So, I still think they are good as kitchen scissors (and that's how they are advertised after all) but not as a miracle tool.Original review, for reference:I just bought my third pair of these which will be intended primarily for office use. But how can you go wrong when you get all this functionality for the price of a pair of regular scissors? My first pair was purchased because of a recommendation in Cook's Illustrated, then I bought a second pair for my daughter who is left handed. My son-in-law had a trip to the emergency room as a result of too aggressive hand washing... as the other reviewer said, these puppies are SHARP.Only potential complaint is that they come apart sometimes when you don't really want them to. But that's ok... it's nice to be about to do a good scrubbing after the scissors have been used on chicken or other nasty bits.
