This brand is really solid. I liked that it offers me the flexibility to plug it in with the adapter or use the battery when I’m away from a power source.

This is a beast for it size. And rarely use my 36v version now.

I am becoming more impressed with this new generation of Metabo cordless tools. In other reviews, I often note how "portable" battery powered tools are. This is no exception. I like not having to control and watch out for a long extension cord. The saw, of course, does not have "endless" power as does an electrical one but it is just as powerful. With careful management -- a battery charging while using a second one -- you can cut nails, metal, boards, etc. as long as you need to do so.

Upgraded from Metabo HPT's subcompact reciprocating saw to this...and it is a beast. Powerful, fast, lightweight, and compact for a saw that delivers the same performance of a full sized reciprocating saw. Buy this, you will love it.

I've been a team "Teal" guy for years and have dozens of their 18-volt line tools. I am a carpenter by trade and use my tools daily. I've been slowly moving over to Metabo HPT because of their 18/36 volt battery compatibility and my desire for just a bit more power in some of my tools (Circular saw, Grinder),I bought this saw last Christmas on Amazon but never got around to putting it into service until today. This thing is amazing! Lightweight, ergonomic, powerful (4 speeds plus variable trigger) with low vibration. It even sports a light! AND, are you ready for this..... SOLIDLY holds the blades! I just spent the last two days abusing this unit by ripping through a dozen in-place Tripple LVL window headers that were set 3" too low on all my window openings for a new build. This is really a job for a corded recip but it would be the perfect opportunity to see if this thing had any real job site credentials... AND.....It cuts like a boss and I could swear it was corded. It also has a very consistent power band until the battery died which really blew me away.As I mentioned above, I'm a professional tradesman, and this is an exceptional cordless tool. Metabo HTP is incredibly underrated!Get it, You'll thank me.

This is the answer to yellows compact. It WAS the best saw on the market, imo. This is MetaboHPT’s answer to that compact recip saw. This feels great in your hands and has terrific cutting balance, which is why I liked the yellow one so much. For anyone working in the trades, we like to keep our tools safe and off the ground, we usually are working from a ladder, making rafter hooks an essential. I was able to attach one to my 3 1/2” bandsaw, so I can conveniently hang it on the pipe vise stand while it’s not in use. Not having a hook isn't worth saving weight to be the lightest on a spec sheet, it’s a key feature attached to all the premium tools you see on a job site. I spent two days with this demoing 3” copper pipe and just cuts like a dream. I’m sure it’ll do great with PVC, wood, etc. 5 stars for the cutting power, shape and balance of this beast. But 4.5 stars for lack of hook.Edit: everything is still going great with the saw. I have noticed two little metal plates where the battery slides on, not sure exactly what they’re for, but it seems to be a quality feature for making sure it maintains shape so the battery won’t become wobbly after repetitive use and vibration of the tool (see photos.) Nice little addition that’s appreciated. I attached some photos compared to the compact one handed saw for reference and of the hook addition. Note: I did use the hole that the Allen wrench comes attached to to use as a grommet hole, this Allen wrench loosens two screws to move the shoe back and forth. This isn’t an inconvenience considering it keeps it sturdy for as long as the screws last. I did take the hook from my old recip saw and attached it to this one. I don’t recommend it unless you feel comfortable doing so. I took it apart first to make sure I wasn’t screwing the brass grommet and screws into any wiring, worked out just fine. I put a regular belt hook on it first but really needed the bigger hook. The balance isn’t quite right, but I’m satisfied with it. The teal recip similar to this one has a nice hanger location on top, but I couldn’t accommodate mine there. Also, I have to flip it down when I’m using it, I can live with that.I love where MetaboHPT is going. I am not sponsored, but I sing the praises online and on job sites. I even let people use my tools (exception: grinders) just to see they can hang with the rest, & smoother.
