I went through 2 of this already. Very disappointed with the built quality. It jams, the nails overlap in the magazine. The nails ride up with the driver causing it to jam and misfire. Terrible tool

I can't understand why Metabo diched the quick clear jam function they have on the air powered model. This gun jams on nearly every shot. Using the Metabo brand pins makes it even worse. We suffered though 5000+ pins on the job this was purchased for. The cordless feature was the only reason we suffered through using this nightmare of a tool. As noted in other reviews, the spring tension is inadequate to advance the pins correctly, thus causing jams on nearly every other shot. The need to loosen/remove 4 screws to un-jam the pins could be avoided if Metabo had used the quick cleanout option they have on other tools. The gun has finally jammed internally and will require a complete disassembly to attempt a repair. Since the project it was purchased for has been completed, there is no urgency to repair a tool that every employee despises with there entire being.

This is my first pin nailer and while I haven't had it long or used it very much yet, I can say that I haven't experienced any problems. I have used this gun it with several different sizes of pin nails (these things are really tiny!) without any problems nailing into both solid wood and MDF. I am using stainless steel pin nails (which could possibly be a factor since in general stainless steel nails are claimed to be stronger than non-stainless nails).I appreciate the almost invisible size of these fasteners. The hole they produce is practically too small to need any filling before finishing. Or if it is used to fasten trim moldings after they have been finished, then at most just a tiny dab of paint (or other finish product) and wiping over it will completely fill and hide any remaining trace of a fastener ever being used there.The manufacturer claims that the 2.0 Amp Hour power pack can drive about 2700 pin nails per charge. If it even lasts half that long I will never put much of a strain on its capability on any one project or workday. This kit includes a 18 volt charger to keep this nailer's battery charged up along with a generously sized heavy duty tool bag specially designed with a pocket with hook & loop closures to securely hold all these items and the nail gun during storage and transport.I have noticed a couple of differences between my pneumatic 18 gauge nailer and this battery powered 23 gauge pin nailer (in addition to the obvious difference in the diameter of the fasteners). Of course there is no need of an air compressor and connecting hoses on this Lithium Ion battery powered device - so it is more easily portable. But although designed for larger nails, the pneumatic nailer isn't as heavy and is a bit more compact. I was a bit surprised by the noise/sound level of this battery powered unit - it is more like a small gun being fired instead of the whoosh of air. And while I wouldn't describe it as "recoil", the user is definitely made aware that a great deal of force has been expended - probably due to the "built-in counter weight [to] reduce recoil".All considered, this is a very well built machine that will now be given a place in finishing my woodworking projects. And in fact, there is a strip of thin molding that has come loose (for about the third time) on a piece of furniture in our home which I believe will benefit from the insertion of a few properly sized pin nails.

Although I didn't have any Metabo Tools before this I am seriously considering going this route when My Ryobi tools begin to die. I have one of the Ryobi One 18 Gage Nail guns although I think it's only a 12V. It does allow you to shoot staples as will as brad nails but doesn't have any depth adjustment or the power to drive this one has. I am really impressed with the quality of the construction of the Metabo it also seems to be well designed as well. The Placement of the adjustments is done so you cannot hit them when working and won't be knocked off it's settings by accident. I thought the Bag it came with although super large is a nice addition as well as a decent set of safety glasses. Nailgun, charger, and Battery should be enough for a starter kit, Battery is a little on the small side but you won't be framing a house with this tool it's for trim and small projects.

Was very excited to get but once I got it it probably shot 1/2” sleeve of nails Randomly and hasn’t shot one since .
