While it's well made, sturdy and a good size for use in a pocket, it's also too loud. It's metal, not too heavy. The concept isn't good one, especially for neurodivergent people who are tired of fidget spinners and etc. The only issue is if you're a quiet environment and trying to use it (like in an exam) everyone will hear it. Also, for those who have an aversion to sound, it would be REALLY annoying. Back to the lab with this one and figure out how to make it quiet.

When I first got this, I hated it. It was too small, pointless (back and forth, really?), didn't feel right in my hand, and for some reason, made me want to put it down right away.So I did.The next day, however, I decided to throw it in my pocket as I headed for work. I'm not really sure what happened after that, but at some point in my day I realized I had been fidgeting with it for most of the day without really even thinking about it. It started to fit the way I had originally hoped, the back and forth action started to make sense, the small clicking feel/sound because super satisfying, and I could hardly put it down. I wouldn't mind one a bit bigger, but I'll take it this size.I got the chrome color, which I think makes this even more enjoyable. It feels so smooth, polished, and premium than how the other two colors look, although I haven't tried them. It also came with a little Allen wrench which I have used to tighten the bolts down a time or tow after playing with it for so long. While there are no instructions, I would STRONGLY recommend not taking it apart unless it completely breaks. And if you do, it's likely you won't get it back together. If you do take it apart, do not remove the Teflon tape. It will instantly lose much of its smooth sliding action if you take it off.

I never knew fidgeting could be so satisfying. This is the champion of fidget toys. It has such a nice weight to it, the finish is so smooth, the clicking sound is relatively quiet but feels good. At the "ends" of the track there is a more substantial click that is also satisfying. I've had it for one day and I must have slid it back and forth several thousand times while at my desk.Note thay it does make some noise, though it's miles away from the sound of a pen clicking or something like that, it may still bother people, though it was well recieved in my office and everyone wanted to play with it.I will probably my buy these in other colors and as gifts because it's thay awesome and I wish more manufacturers would focus on quality parts and premium feel. Having such beautiful fit and finish makes this worth the price and great as a gift for the sophisticated fidgeter. It come with a small Alan key, the whole thing can be taken apart and adjusted but after over 1000 slides it may have loosened up a tiny bit but in my opinion is even better now.100% recommend you get this thing even you work in a quiet office and have to hide in a closet to use it.

Much heavier than I thought! which i love! Love the clicks and the feel! it is very satisfying.the only thing i would change is making it only a smidge bigger and putting in a groove for your thumb to make it a bit easier to move the fidget!but i loved this much more than i thought i would!

This is a fairly traditional but well-made slider. I got the blue one, which is a deep royal blue color with a matte finish. While the color may lead you to think it's plastic, one touch will tell you otherwise, it's solid metal with a good weight to it, giving it more of a premium feel than a lot of others on the market. The mid-section where it connects looks gold in the pictures, but it's more of a copper color in reality, like a brand new penny. So far the blue color has been durable with no chips in the paint or anything, though the copper has taken some marks on the interior surface where it slides. Despite the name "Mech Egg" it's more of a pill look and shape. The slider feels pretty smooth and while it's got some audio feedback, it's more of a subtle noise, definitely not the loudest I've heard. It's audible, but it won't annoy the whole house. Not sure if any magnets are involved, but the two pieces are held together mechanically so they can't be pulled apart without undoing some screws on the interior. If you're looking for a slider, this one's a unique design and good quality.

this is really fun and easy to use. But it is a lot heavier than you would think. Also the screws come out a lot, and if you are not paying attention you will love a screw so not the greatest durability. This has a decently loud sound. the texture and feel is smooth.

This slider looks great and shiny, though personally I do not like the feel of sliding action. Feedback on the clicks are ok, but the sliding action feels a little mushy instead of gliding effortlessly. The noise is a little pingy. The finish on the outside is smooth and features no ridges or bumps. The inside surface has a mirror finish, with one half with a chrome color and the other a pinkish/rose gold color.

This little mech fidget egg is pretty cool. The build quality and finish are spot on and it looks/works as advertised. It is fun to fidget with but not quite as fun as I expected. The clicks are quite as pronounced as I'd like but its still a great little slider
