I purchased this to try and cut through 26g metal roofing panels. The tool gave its best, but consistently would screw up and veer to the right, messing up my cut. It might work great for sheet metal or tin, but don’t purchase this if you’re trying to cut metal roofing or fencing material. I would recommend a grinder with a metal cutting wheel for that.

Solid metal nibbler for straight and curved cuts; setup is easy, but winding cuts are limited. A useful tool for the right tasks. A handy tool for longer metal cuts; limited for intricate designs. Worth adding to your toolbox if you do a lot of sheet metal work. Overall, it's a time-saver for long sheet metal cuts and keeps your hands safe. For smaller jobs, hand snips might still be more convenient.

I had the enjoyable experience of trying out this sheet metal cutter yesterday and was absolutely amazed at how simple it was and how easily it cut through the metal. Traditionally, I have always used tin snips with less than perfect results. This set comes with everything you need to attach it to either an electric or a cordless drill. It was easy to assemble and I was using it within minutes. I tested it on some sheet aluminum and it cut through like it was paper. I have a big renovation job coming up that requires me to cut thin sheet metal to fit and I am now looking forward to doing it instead of dreading it.The only downside that I can see is that the cutter leaves a tiny, serrated edge that can be sharp and catch on things. A metal file can take care of that though, so it is not a deal-breaker for me.The set comes in a nice carrying case to keep everything neat and in one place. I would highly recommend it for anyone who needs to cut thin sheet metal. I have not tested it on varying thicknesses, so cannot speak to how thick it can cut through. It cut through what I needed it to do and that is enough for me.

This is really heavy duty and it works very well for cutting sheet metal. It is also great if you need to cut lighter materials like plastic or cardboard. It comes in a nice plastic tool case. The contents look a little complicated at first, but they're not. The reason for the extra parts is that you use different ones depending on whether you are attaching the nibbler to a cordless or corded drill. It's actually very simple to install and the instructions are very clear and they have great pictures to show you every step.A wrench and screwdriver are helpfully included. These are used to tighten the connecting rod to the nibbler and to adjust the fit of the cutting wheels if necessary.I attached to my 18v cordless drill and I was very happy with the results. My drill starts out at a very slow rotation speed, which is ideal because that makes the nibbler really controllable. You'll probably want to keep the speed low at first because the nibbler is very eager to feed the work and cut it, so high drill speeds will make it harder to control, at least at first.I tried it on various sheet metals plus heavy cardboard and plastic, and it worked really well on all of them. It is much, much easier than using shears or tin snips on any of them. It makes a very clean cut and moves steadily and evenly across the work. It doesn't work on very brittle plastic, though, as you would expect, because the plastic shatters under the cutting wheels.I am very impressed with this tool and I expect it will be one of the most useful things on my workbench.

I’m a mechanical engineering student, and I used this tool for a class project to build a metal frame model. Cutting aluminum and thin steel sheets was a breeze, and the clean edges made assembly much easier. My professor even complimented the quality of my work!

I’m really surprised I’m only just finding out about this tool now. This is by far the easiest way to cut sheet metal. It’s got a nice all-metal design which gives it a lot of strength. There is no slop in either of the cutting wheels. The whole tool feels very solid. The finish on the cut is very nice as there are no burrs created when cutting this way. Overall I am very pleased with this tool and will be recommending it to others who work with sheet metal from time to time.
