I like the fact that it is not scratching the floor. Bearings in it work well. Don’t know how it compares to conventional footprint shaped spinners and how realistic those are because I don’t have one. This one helped my skating though and it is easy to use (it doesn’t move after you jump from it).

This thing is great! I’m about 40 yo, my daughter 9. We use this at home to practice spins and WOW what a difference when we get back on the ice. 3 main things I love:1. Forces you to stay in place and not travel while spinning.2. Easy on the knees. If you make a mistake on ice, the grabbing of the blades can twist the knee. On this device, you simply step off.3. Floor friendly. Works on carpet (thinner is better), hard floors, and doesn’t hurt them.Side note: I added some dry bike chain oil to mine to quiet it and make it spin more smoothly with weight on it. A thinner lube might be better, but I haven’t tried it yet.

This spin board is very well constructed of high-quality materials and it spins FAST! I love the grips. You can use either side on basically any surface (minus dirt because...smooth bearings you wouldn't want to wreck from dirt getting in). You might want to note the actual size dimensions. I wasn't sure what to expect. I wear a Womens' Size 9 and my entire foot does not fit onto the board. I don't see that this is super important. I didn't check the dimensions, but I think it will work just fine (I'm completely new to this). If you're new, I would highly recommend either watching videos on how to get started or hire a coach. Can't wait to build skill.

My Daughter likes it and uses it to spin for fun and practice for skating. We need to put a towel down on the floor to keep it from sliding a little bit on carpet.
