I ordered these nuts for a specific purpose. I had 4 plastic knobs that had a 6 mm threaded stud in it that I wanted to use in home made woodworking jigs. One of the knobs had a nut and it slid into standard T track perfectly. These nuts were 3 mm thick whereas the one nut I had was 4 mm thick. These nuts being thinner would rack part way out of the T track so were not suitable. For a standard square nut they are fine.
