Your cart is empty. Q:Ignition button not clicking/Button is not clean
A:If your switch/button doesn't make a clicking sound when you try to light the BBQ, then probably you need to align it well with the surrounding control panel. If you don't do barbecue cleaning regularly, the switch may become sticky because of collected grease or other filth. Contamination may even get deeper in the ignition casing over time. Clean up the control panel thoroughly.
Q:Battery is gone
A:There is a battery (most likely AA size) right behind the button – just unscrew it and you'll see it. Take your old battery out and replace it with a new one to see if that solves the problem.
Q:Loose wires
A:One or more of the connected wires (found behind the control dashboard) may have loosen – take each out and then carefully put it back in its place tightly.

This was a good guess. My gas BBQ grill is a Charbroil Infrared Commercial 3 burner with side gas burner.I've had the grill for several years and have replaced most of the internal burner parts at one time or another. When I no longer had an ignition spark and found it wasn't the battery, I guessed that it would be the igniter button.The item came with new wires so I changed them at the same time. The ignition button is an exact fit. The spark is simultaneous for the three internal burners and the side burner.

After the BBQ was a couple years old, each summer the igniter would have some problems sparking. Most of the time the battery was fine, but some corrosion was on the connectors. It got worse and worse, so this year we bought this. Now it sparks right away, keeping our old BBQ going which is otherwise fine.

Have a grill, several years old. The button no longer worked. Used a gas lighter, lifting up the dirty grill and stuff. Got this. Had to remove a door but then easy to install. Need to connect both wires. Been in for a year. Even at 34 Jersey degrees, this starts the grill. Once it did not work, but found turning off the gas I pulled one of the wires. Connect it, and back to grilling. Original spark, it's just the button that goes bad.
