Far to soft and sticky for carving. I probably will use it for making wax positives, but terrible for creating any useful detailed negatives.

It works perfectly but mine came dirty on the top so i had to cut that part off and throw it away. Otherwise nice soft wax for sculpting

I am surprised at the positive reviews and high ratings.This wax is: too soft and sticky for ideal modeling, far too soft/sticky for carving, and it should not be compared to the old Victory Brown. Consequently, $18 +s/h is too expensive for this product and I would not recommend it for serious sculptors.

Exactly what I needed, I just wish I could buy 11lb blocks through amazon. The consistency is hard at room temperature but relaxes quickly in the hand.

A very smooth wax, but still very stiff. I use this s part of my wax mix for sculpting. I would definitely buy again~
