I was surprised at the quality of this tripod. I wasn't expecting some super cheapo tripod but this tripod definitely feels much better than I thought it would be for the price. All of the components except for the feet are metal and powder coated with a dark fde tan. It's definitely on the darker side and almost like a gray-tan color. But the finish alone makes this feel like it'll last a lot longer than the black painted metal tripods you tend to see on amazon. Super easy operation with the legs spring-biased to retract. 5 positions with the legs able to fold completely horizontal. One drawback is that the legs make a very audible click as you extend them to the longer positions so if you're using this while hunting, you may need to use 2 hands to hold down the locking lever and pull out each leg.

I've been a precision shooter for a good many years and one of the keys to being successful at the sport is keeping everything still, the less movement you provide, the more stable and accurate your shots are going to be. A slight wobble that provides a 1/4" of movement at the muzzle means shots that are inches wide of the intended point of impact. In a sport where wins and losses are measure in 100th of an inch, misses like that are no bueno. This MidTen Rifle Bipod offers plenty of support and stability. Here's what I like:Lightweight. Made from aluminum. If you shoot from a variety of positions and over/on/under different platforms these supports provide different ways to get the task done.Powder coated. Corrosion resistant for use in all sorts of environments and situations, set to last for years.Adjustments. Not only can the height be adjusted, but the way the bipod legs can be adjusted presents the shooter with options that aren't available with a 'standard' bipod. With the legs adjusted to lean forward, stability is a given.Locking the adjustments in. Once set, the bipod doesn't require additional adjustments.Rubberized feet. These reduce the amount of movement from recoil and you can get follow-on shots on target without having to move and adjust after each shot.M-LOK compatible. As the M-LOK rail system takes over the long gun/modern rifle market, the ability to attach the MidTen Rifle Bipod directly to the rail is a real plus, simplifying the installation/removal process and reducing weight since no adapter is required. And without requiring an adapter, you still have the 6 o'clock position available for a laser pointer or flashlight.Overall, a great look, solid base, variable and adjustable to custom fit your shooting style and they won't upset the balance point of most rifles in use today. For this price, you get a lot of bipod and with this bipod you get a lot of adjustment. Whether you are shooting prone off a mat, off a bench rest or over a barrel, the MidTen Rifle Bipod provides the sort of support you need for accurate shot placement and improved follow-on shots.

Good, not exceptional. Allowed me to mount my light directly under the barrel and still have bipod legs well forward.

This is my second bipod of this general type, it is a very good one, and I do not know why this style is not more popular. One advantage is that with the handguard as the frame, the bipod can be lighter. Or, as done here, the pivot structure and legs can be overbuilt and the resultant net weight be about the same. This thing is a beast and there is no slop when deployed. Put the legs forward @ 45 and push into it all you want. It does not care AT ALL, and that is a high-end outcome for a civilian bipod. My only nit: The leg length quick adjuster is pressured by an exposed spring. I don't really care, as I use the manual screw lock. If the spring disappeared (it hasn't, but seems inevitable) I would just shrug. It is the only remotely goofy thing about an otherwise very good bipod. HIGHLY recommended.

Nice cheap addon to the AR. Easy to install if you're familiar with m-rail. Flip out and ready to use quick and easy, and just as easy to flip up out of the way. Overall a decent option for a cheap accessory.
