Beautiful, really good quality bowls. The listing shows two different measurements but the one in the diagram is correct (just over 1” deep). They’re very shallow. I sent them back.

We recently decided to upgrade our dinnerware from the rugged but pretty boring stuff we've had for years. When looking at china, we discovered that "bone china" is indeed made from bones. We're vegan and don't use animal products, so it was a nice surprise to see Mikasa's line of vegan bone china. These are very well made and look great. Very happy with the purchase so far (a couple weeks in.)

I am a huge Mikasa fan as I own a bunch of their dinnerware and glassware.I absolutely love this set; I have used them daily since I got them. My husband saw me using them and goes, "wow, these look nice and deep." Now, my husband is also using them daily, I will need to buy more. :)I hand washed them, I washed them in the dishwasher, I placed them in the microwave, and they still look new and unused. They are also a nice size, not too big, not too small, perfect portion size.I love these bowls, they are sturdy, durable, not too heavy and well made.

After 30 years of chipping the good china, using sturdier, but less attractive dinnerware that I didn't like, and hoping for something in the middle, this Mikasa Kamryn Vegan Bone China Lightweight Set of 4 Pasta Bowls, 8.5 Inch comes along to fill the void.My Wedgwood set with beading has been discontinued, and while I love that pattern, dropping another $50 for one plate that I'll most definitely chip, somehow, at some point, just doesn't seem reasonable at this point.This Mikasa pattern is beautiful enough to use everyday - to honor the hard work of your cooking (or reheating) and make dining a joy.I had already incorporated some Mikasa stoneware into my table service, so I knew it would be a quality brand that would hold up.I'm impressed that these can be both sturdy and still look this delicate and upscale.For less than the price of one replacement dinner plate, I have four Pasta Bowls (which are awesome for anything with a sauce) that will take some wear without showing it, and still look as nice as I'd like my dinner table to look.REALLY GREAT FIND! Really great value. Would give 100 stars if I could.

I really like these plates. They are very well made and good looking and can be used in Microwave, oven and dishwasher. I really like the shape of these, but they present a couple of problems. The plates do not stack nicely like all other plates and bowls do so they are unstable to store one on top of the other until all four are stacked. Call it the "Crooked Tower of Pisa". This also creates a problem when loading the dishwasher since you have to skip a holding segment for every dish before placing another one when you load the dishwasher. Besides all of this, I still love these plates, never seen plates shaped this way. They work real good with foods with a high content of liquid in them because of the large rim on the edge.

After your hard word making an exquisite pasta sauce to cover your al dente homemade pasta, you need the perfect pasta bowl to present your masterpiece. Enter these Mikasa pasta bowls. I have been looking for the right bowls to add to my kitchen collection and these are just right.The bowls are bright white, flawless and have just the right amount of heft to them. The design is attractive and there is just enough height on the sides to hold the pasta in place and not allow any sauce to escape.I have used these for several weeks and expect these mikes bowls will hold up as well as the rest of my Mikasa dinnerware. For the record, I don't save these only for pasta. I used them for everything I can.(Pro Tip) The rim helps the kids keep from spilling.I highly recommend these bowls for your collection. Buy two sets so you can serve up to eight people or have a few spares.

These are great! Granted, my primary skill is eating, but I really like the quality and the lip! That will save me from using my finger to push things onto my fork. (wink) Since she's the cook, I'm the clean-up guy, including doing the dishes. The lip doesn't bother me in the least, and these stack nicely so storing them in the cabinet is no biggie.Look, Mikasa is a quality company with a sense of humor ("vegan!") that offers quality products. Sure, these may be a bit smaller in diameter than your old Corelle dinnerware and probably less ornate. They're also heftier but, to this blue collar guy (who's a little hefty himself), these are just plain classy dishes that will fit well on your casual or even "dress-up" table. And they'd make a great gift. Definitely five stars!
