This chamber brush is the best thing going for scrubbing and cleaning an AR rifle chamber. I use a short non rotating rod and just twist it clockwise several times. I don’t reverse it so the bristles won’t break off. Then wipe the area with a large patch on the end of your finger and run a mop thru the bore to clean out any residue. I gave one to my nephew, son-in-law, and grandson. They had been using just a patch over the finger. This brush will last a long long time and it’s not expensive. Better than many brands.

Great product, and made for hard use, doesn't come appart like some do. Assembling an AR 10 and had a chambering problem due to the mil-spec coating that got into the chamber during the coating process. I attached this to a short extension rod and put it into my drill at a slow speed, along with some solvent I was able to clean out all the coating in the chamber and now a round seats as it should. Used a chamber mop to clean out the debris afterwards. Hope this will also work on my brother's Melonite coated barrel as he has a similar problem. Hard to get overly excited about a cleaning brush. This is exactly like the ones we got in the military to cleanour M-4 and M-16 rifles. It helpes to get into the locking lug area of the breech of the AR upper. The breech itself is also cleand but more of an after thought since that gets cleaned when cleaning the bore any way. Definitely worth having a few in your cleaning supplies. Especially if you shoot a lot of rounds between cleaning.Purchased this chamber brush specifically because it has a core that appears to be brass as opposed to some other metal like aluminum or steel with less desirable properties. I've a 5.56 rifle that's seen many rounds and began getting failures to extract with ammunition that was not previously a problem, cleaned up that chamber with the .223/5.56 version and the rifle is back to it's reliable self. Purchased this .308 version for another rifle that sees much less rounds to prevent a similar problem."This was a great purchase. Everyone that owns a Black Rifle needs this brush. It has come in handy so many times. i used to use a combination of two other brushes that took twice the time, it worked. But this brush works better. I highly recommend this item for price and convenience of use.Very pleased --- works great on my AR-10 to remove carbon. As anyone who has any kind of AR format rifle, you MUST keep them clean (if you want them to keep firing) . The chamber can be difficult to clean and requires to different diameter brushes. The appropriate sized brush of the same design works well on the AR-15 as well.

Would have given 5 but think this will get better after a bit mor use. Not real sure how well it cleans on the back side of the loving lugs. Still a must buy.
