The reviews that give 5 stars must be written by people who never have used this peeler period.The blade may be sharp, but all peeler blades are sharp out of the box andthe ergonomics of this product are terrible. The stamped metal handle has sharp edges and does not fit the hand. It may be worth 3 or $4. Certainly not the asking price

Really appreciating the ease of use when peeling a butternut squash. Nice thin peels, moves like a hot knife through butter. Will buy a second.

The best peeler yet! I have tried several different styles and this one is by far the best. The stainless steel handle is open on the underside but this does not prevent it's function. The blade is very sharp and works well on peeling eggplant, yam, cucumber, carrot. I highly recommend this as an addition to anyone's kitchen. It also came with an extra blade - Impressive.

I had to get used to the different handle flat not round like Oxo peelers. This is very sharp and does the job. Highly recommend.

I bought this brand of hand-held julienne slicer. I was so impressed with the julienne slicer from Milk Street that I purchased the vegetable peeler. Both are high quality products, have extremely sharp blades (they come with a blade guard for storage) and the blades can be replaced if needed. The blade is so sharp it's like slicing through butter. I have tried many other types of peelers in my life, and I don't think there is anything that compares to this. The shape of the handle fits comfortably in your hand. It's effortless to use, which is a blessing for arthritic hands.

This peeler may seem to be a tad expensive to you, but I promise you that once you use it, you'll be fascinated, pleased and super-surprised on exactly hoe perfectly and simply it works. By far, this peeler is the very best I've ever used in over 40 years

Easy pealing. Only wish it had some sort of way of taking out the little dents (eyes?) in the potatoes; had to use a pointed knife for those.
