Worked even better than I could’ve expected. Used product in a completely calcified, and rusted water distilling machine. Required almost zero scrubbing after only one cycle. Wiped away 99% of the scum with a simple paper towel.

I followed the instructions and used this to clean the office coffee pot three times, including an overnight soak. Even without brewing in between, it was hard to remove all the buildup. I’m guessing it’ll take the whole bag to see any significant results.

These crystals also work on my distiller just as well as any they sell specifically for it and is a few dollars less! They are food grade citric acid. They remove the horrible gunk in the bottom after the gallon is distilled. I rinse the gunk once then put the crystals. I use a brush. Then rinse the crystals a few times. Amazon sells these great distillers which remove everything bad from the water including microplastics!! the only process that really does.

This is a versatile product as it can be used in a machine for pods, or an actual coffee pot. The solution was easy to mix and use, the directions were super simple and easy to follow. I noticed after 1 use that the coffee pot did in fact work much better in brewing the exact amount we actually put in- it was getting to a point where if you wanted 6 cups, you had to fill the water to 6.5- so I definitely noticed that we can actually use exact amount of water now, which tells me this had to clean some clog up of some sort. The coffee did taste better after using this- but my reason for only giving 4 stars is because we have a lot of scaling within the brewer that really needs to be cleaned, and this did not clean it. It still looks just as it did before using this. My thoughts at this point are to get an entire new coffee maker (ours is several years old anyway) and try using this on a regular basis to keep it clean and new.
