I recently went on a 4-day backpacking trip after having been out of the game for over a decade.I was looking at different options for camp cups and had narrowed it down to a titanium camp cup or a Sea to Summit collapsible cup -- both of these were 400 mL in capacity. The Ti was expensive and a bit bulky; the collapsible cup looked promising but wasn't cheap and in the reviews some mentioned that it was easy to spill due to the relatively narrow base.On some backpacking blog someone mentioned the Wildo Fold-a-Cup and after some deliberation I bit on that.One of my backpacking partners has gone full-in with the ultralight (UL) ethos and when I showed them the Wildo they developed a significant amount of UL envy (Ti 400mL cup = 104g; Wildo 600mL = 45g).It took me a little while to figure out the folding mechanism of the Wildo, and I wish I had been able to acquire a color that was less tactical, but my options were limited at the time. The Wildo was great for instant coffee in the mornings and there were no problems with pouring boiling water from the pot directly into the Fold-a-Cup. The handle is sturdy and even though the plastic heats up with hot liquids you can still hold the cup pretty securely without any issues. Even though I did not test it, folding up the cup is also supposed to prevent any residual liquid from leaking out.In summary, this is a highly functional piece of backcountry equipment. I would not hesitate to buy one again and that fact that a member of the UL mafia requested information on it says a lot.

I like this cup! The material feels good to the touch- not cheap!. The thin hard lip feels right and secure to the lips when sipping from it. It is a tool I look forward to using again. Whatever it’s made of feels superior to the soft plastic I was expecting. It’s comfortable to use with 212 degree water- the little thumb grip feels secure and surprisingly adequate. Kudos the the Swedes for another great design!.

Great little folding cup !!!WILL hold boiled water. (to make soup, coffee, tea, etc.)WILL NOT BOIL WATER, it is not meant for that !!!Boil water in a metal container, then put into this cup to mix with instant coffee or even a cup-a-soup/Ramen (be careful with content levels)

It took my wife a bit to figure out that it folded out. Now that she knows it is available she has one more item to. Most likely we will use our Coffee cups. Just one mor tool

We love these cups for travel, hotels, camping, backpacking and even using around the house. We have about 8 of them and have had our first couple for many years.

This cup is strong, durable, yet flexible. It's large enough to be used as a bowl or generous mug while backpacking or camping. The plastic of the handle and the body keep heat at bay, and the handle is adequate to hold the cup firmly.

It holds boiling liquids. And I've even heated up Liquid using a stinger inside the cup. And it folds down small enough to carry with a lot of your Camp gear
